You people are crazy. You think there isn't gonna be quite a bit of flex on a 150 million dollar quote? Frankly the bigger the project, the bigger the margin of error is on the quote. There is too much that can happen to perfectly estimate the cost of construction.

I feel you but the thing is how did Martinez look as a freshman? Like he had the IT factor. Smothers played well for 3.5 quarters with a gameplan that played to his strengths and protected a freshman starting his first game against one of the best defenses in the country. Smothers looked very promising imo. I think we could win with him at the helm. But to say he has the IT factor and Martinez doesn't based on that performance is a stretch to say the least. He turned it over twice in crunch time, usually Martinez only does it once. Also that last one was pretty aweful. Martinez makes some bad mistakes but I can't him see him throwing one away in that fashion(give him one more chance he'd probably prove me wrong lol) All that said, I like Smothers and I think there are more important targets in the portal. We need to sure up the OL. If we didn't get a transfer QB I wouldn't be too worried honestly. Smothers can do some great things and with Whipple coaching him up I think there is alot more potential there than people are expecting out of him.

Maybe not but there is only a handful of those players anyway. A huge get isn't always a special player. They could just be a good player at a position of need. Hold your horses. Sanders has done a great job but he has alot left to prove. SWAC aint the SEC. That said landing 5 star recruits at an FCS program is rare to say the least. Makes you wonder what he could do at a bigger school for sure. Probably headed to FSU before too long though.

Martinez was a heisman candidate after his freshman year too. Lets see Rattler play on the squads Adrian had and put Martinez on the Oklahoma roster and see how that works out for them respectively. Oklahoma has been a juggernaut, not really a fair comparison imo but go ahead with it. Think Rattler would tear a team like ours apart because it would be everyone elses fault. Just my 2 cents but my 2 cents is monopoly money so take it for what its worth. Also not even sure what it has to do with Martinez. There are other transfer QBs who will likely be less of a diva than Rattler. The kid is talented but talent only gets you so far.

Rattler doesn't have the right attitude imo. Wish him the best elsewhere but I hope we get somebody who is more humble.

Watch us win the division next year lol I feel the sentiment but what if we pull a Northwestern? They have an awful season then bounce back when everyone thinks they are gonna be garbage and win the division. Thats what I see for us next season

What a uniquely upsetting season. We are more competetive than we were under Riley in so many ways but we are so bad at winning games its actually comical. So many epic moments in the making this season and we didn't capitalize on a single one. It was hard to watch knowing it was going to happen again in the 4th. Gut wrenching stuff if you are on that Husker sideline for sure. Couldn't feel worse for the players. There were moments to be proud of but in the end it wasn't enough time and time again. And now I'm not mad anymore. Thanks knapp

Through 3 quarters Smothers was like 10-12. How is that trying to pass and it not working?

Not sure what that has to do with why Martinez is at the top of offensive records at Nebraska but yes having solid execution helps you to be better.
