  1. I was just going to post this. Excellent analysis. Clearly and unequivocally another failure from this coaching staff. In-Over-Their-Heads
  2. I can't see the OC being to far from from what they currently run. It's not like Frost has the luxury of time like a new HC in year one where he can afford to make some mistakes along the way while they learn a new system. They've got to hit the ground running and win from the first game on. Another year like this year while the team adapts to a new system and Frost will be long gone (like he should already have been).
  3. Don't worry about it Hedley. The "next man up" crowd has assured me we'll just plug and play who ever is behind these guys with no drop off. Worst case, we grab a bunch of guys off out of the portal or JC and they will be ready to go by game one with again, no drop off.
  4. Great get for the Aggies. Interested to see what he can do for a program that needs a lot of help.
  5. I don't think it will be. The schedule is more favorable but we only beat one P5 team this year and are losing a ton of talent so I wouldn't count on the schedule. Maybe we get a real ST coach which could have meant several more wins this year. Maybe our new OC will be allowed to call plays and not panic in the second half. But Frost will still be in charge and I'm not sure any of the above can overcome that large of a burden.
  6. You do exactly what you did this year except instead of a 12-20 record to help sell your vision have a 15-29 record and were 1-9 against P5 teams. And you end up being ranked probably below where we are now at #77 and last in the B1G. But on the bright side we are .06 points ahead of Illinois in the average star ranking in the B1G. So there's that.
  7. And that is scary for the longer term. With all we are losing after this season, the horrendous class we will have this year, the horrendous class we will have for the 2023 class after another year of this crap leaves a very bleak outlook for the future. Losing, get used to it because it's going to continue to be the NU for years to come.
  8. I haven't read this thread so this might have been covered. HITF do you get a touch-back on the opening kickoff, then decide to pow-wow the offense on the sideline, then yap so long that the team doesn't get lined up until there are less than 10 seconds on the play clock. By the time you get the signals called and motion run you end up with a delay of game call before the first snap while there is still 15:00 on the game clock. Not the first time this crap has happened either. Infuriating, unbelievable and unacceptable! Although inconsequential to the outcome of the game it is a microcosm of HCSF's poor game management and failure a head coach in a nutshell. I truly wish ADTA would have just bit the bullet and cut ties with this clown we have as head coach.
  9. That would be a great get for the Aggies. Hope he does end up in Las Cruces.
  10. Yup. Yet HCSF still isn't sure about hiring a full time ST coach. Go figure TO Margin - #96 Punt Return Defense - #78 Punt Returns #127 KO Return Defense - #116 KO Returns - #123
  11. Because players want to go somewhere they can start immediately. With the talent we are losing and possibly AM leaving there will be lots of opportunity. Worked out OK for Toure. And I agree with the others. There are plenty of threads here where you can vent to heart's content. No need to come into this thread and drop a big steaming load.
  12. Will you accept a moral victory in lieu of an actual victory on the scoreboard?
  13. I feel like Cypher in The Matrix every week after the Huskers lose another game. Why oh why didn't I take the blue pill.
  14. It looked to me like a make-up no call for the horrible PI they called 5 plays earlier when AM threw the ball away way over Allen's head, out of bounds and was clearly uncatchable.
  15. I learned Braelon Allen is the real deal. Good enough at 17 to think he may not be at Wis. for 3 more years. A good thing for DONU since I don't want to face him 3 more times.
  16. When AM had a broken jaw and was hobbling around with an ankle sprain HCSF still went with him over Smothers or any of the other backups. That's got to tell you something. A lot of people were screaming for McCaffrey last year. After seeming him on the field the overwhelming majority were happy to have AM back the next week. Careful what you wish for.
  17. According to people with inside knowledge (SSO) there were a couple donors ready to write the checks for the buyout. Trev will be right no matter what, and should location play a part in what scheme you run?
  18. Another great article by Jeremy Pernell. Pernell: A Shortlist for Frost in His OC Search
  19. I wonder how much of this whole process was influenced by buy-out money? If things continue to go south (which I believe is the by far the most likely outcome) then it will save NU/Donors millions of dollars in a year or two when they finally axe Frost. If things do turn around then all is well and Trev looks like a genius.
  20. Bottom Line. You can look at and manipulate all the stats you want but it doesn't change the fact that our record is pathetic.
  21. #102 in Red Zone + Poor Special Teams & Place Kicking + Undisciplined Penalties at Inopportune Moments + Puzzling Play Calling + Erratic QB Play = 3-7 It all falls upon the shoulders of HCSF & his staff / former staff.
