  1. There wasn’t a better college quarterback, than Shadeur Sanders, this weekend. He was a couple of dropped passes from 600 yards, against what has been touted as the best secondary in the Big XII. Add to that 4 different 100 yard receivers and a couple of dynamic running backs (maybe 3) and that may be a top 10 college offensive team. I agree, the defense will keep some games in a ‘last serve’ mode (like USC) but Lordy, what dynamic play makers. Another big factor, their poise, having come back 3 times to retake the lead in a hostile environment like TCU. I think they have potential to win 9 games, excluding Utah, OSU, and maybe Oregon. There kicker is a detriment on kickoffs, think he only had one unreturnable kick
  2. If we had won, you would see a similar thread from the opposing teams fan base, with the same legitimacy. (Ex: the no call on our DB assault of Minny receiver inside the 10 yard line!) These type of threads need to be x’d out, it’s just making us look like whiners, ‘Man Up, NU’ and kick some as…..
  3. Warner Bros. needs to buy the rights to our games and creat a new 'Paranormal Sports Show'! There are 'ghosts' in the locker room and on the field, just no other explanation for it...
  4. Prime recruiting M. Coleman and Dylan Edwards, in the latest round of Buff stuff....
  5. he's a star, with his AFLAC commercials along side of Saban, he is charismatic and seems to be able to staff a winning program; just what you need from the 'Head Coach'...
  6. Mickey has a 'mission impossible' in front of him, that demoralizing defeat just added fuel to the blaze. His only remote chance, is to create his own signature with some dynamic player development. In my estimation, it would need to be the quarterback position, and one of the young ones that will be instrumental into the future! My 2 cents...
  7. A silly thread, NOTHING tops the excitement we all felt when Frost was brought on board...
  8. Suspect the motivation was an ego thing, it's been obvious, since the forced staff turnover, that Scott has been relegated to 'lame duck' status, and the one thing he could interject was the onside kick! His press conference comment about lack of offensive creativity was a 'dart' thrown to reveal his frustration with his not being allowed into Whipples turf.
  9. What will this do to 'team chemistry'! *See Miami NIL deal gone astray with star team mates going off...
  10. Huskers have the NIL working, reports say it was the deciding factor!
  11. I see KSU just lost an All Big XII sophomore guard to Miami! Paid $800,000 and new car to play last 2 years for Hurricanes. They probably couldn’t pay him 10% of that…
  12. In 2020, USC’s special teams were ranked No.1 nationally by Football Outsider and the Trojans were in the national Top 25 in NCAA statistics in kickoff return defense (10th at 17.0) and net punting (25th at 40.8). True freshman Parker Lewis was 20th nationally in field goals (1.6), Gary Bryant Jr. (also a true freshman) was 22nd in kickoff returns (26.2), Ben Griffith’s 46.4 punting average was the highest by a Trojan since 2003 and snapper Damon Johnson was a Mannelly Award finalist.
  13. talked to a VERY reliable source, big corporate backer, that the administration met this last week with the following:: #1 retain Frost for at least one year #2 20 million dollar buy out is a major concern and currently not acceptable #3 will require some coaching staff changes (no specifics), for retention
  14. He will get one more year regardless of winning 0 or all 4 remaining. Frost has too many deep NU connections and Trev won't be allowed to upset that scenario!
  15. you won't hear it said any better (a Big X advocate)
  16. Dr. Tom was a visionary and moved NU out of the debacle light years in advance of the implosion. Trouble for most of those involved in the fallout, TT-KState-Okie State-KU-TCU-Baylor-ISU, was like being children in a divorce, had to stay with mom or settle for a good foster home...
  17. look at USC for evidence of what ST coordinator may do for a program; coach was on a hot seat and he pulled out multiple games in last minutes with special teams this winter (long kick returns, on side kick success, etc.). It's an intangible but possibly the most revealing in this situation.

  19. High-ranking college official says “no one is playing football in the fall” Additionally, a Power 5 coach said, “I think the season being canceled is a foregone conclusion.” By Jason Marcum on July 13, 2020 1:55 pm
  20. Just one player on a (any) team with the virus and most likely the season is toast...
  21. They have actually led the FBS the last 20 years:K-State has scored a nation leading 96 non-offensive touchdowns since 1999. It’s not just that K-State has turned specials teams into an identity, they’ve turned it into points which translates, as we all know, to wins.
  22. K-State special teams has led the FBS in touch downs over the last 10 years with 44 or 45 TD's, Alabama is second with 32 or 33 TD's over that 10 year span.
  23. There was another NU quarterback with coaching success in Buffalo that had similar results in the end...
  24. Must have been in his contract: 8 wins after 2nd year (University Lawyers misinterpreted the after as ‘in’ 2nd year), 2 year/$10,000,000 extension!
