  1. Is this in Omaha? Curious about the logistics of traveling from Lincoln eventually overseas, because even Omaha can't really accommodate planes big enough generally speaking.
  2. I think you're confusing getting a blackshirt with being a captain.
  3. It's hard enough to successfully joke with the media when you're a good coach. If you're a coach who can only win 3 games a year at your alma mater with every resource you could possibly hope for, all you're doing is giving people more embarrassing ammo.
  4. The market for down the middle news is sadly not nearly as big as the market for outrage porn and confirmation bias Also, there are down the middle news orgs and that doesn't stop a sizable chunk of right-leaning people from being convinced they're liberal, but I digress.
  5. It's a beautiful looking stadium, I wonder how they're logistically providing locker rooms for full football rosters?
  6. It really doesn't matter. The head coach of a blue blood program making several millions of dollars a year has to have higher social intelligence than giving folks the opportunity to misconstrue something like that. Frost saying something dumb is definitely a better scenario than the alternative of Frost believing in a dangerous unhealthy old-school philosophy of running his players into the ground, but it's still an indictment.
  7. We aren't talking about someone puking at practice once in a while. We're talking about Frost telling the media that our OL group is puking 15-20 times every day. It's a notable enough thing for him to have said. If it was a normal "oh sometimes players puke it happens", it wouldn't be any sort of a deal at all, because people understand that it sometimes happens, and a coach wouldn't ever feel the need to bring it up.
  8. Wait I guess I'm confused a few days ago we saw reports that he was taking the plea but that he would not be cooperating?
  9. Give me a f#&%ing break. Five months in prison and five years probation does not, at all, in any fanciful imagination, guarantee that "today, that misconduct ends" How in the actual f#&% can someone plead guilty to 15 felonies and get five months in prison? That's ten days per felony. And it's a f#&%ing joke.
  10. I doubt it was "just" a few years ago.
  11. That's... Either Frost should not be saying that out loud or making light of it, or he's dramatically misconstruing it to seem like something it isn't, in which case he still should not be saying it out loud. Either way a seventh year head coach should 100% know better.
  12. According to the FCC, 96.3% of people in Nebraska have access to high speed internet (defined as 25mbps down/3mbps up). and 100% of americans have access if you include satellite, 92.7% if you only qualify hard wired services.
  13. No no no no. We're winning the natty but the Rutgers game is going to get canceled due to a freak hurricane.
  14. No, they don't. How is every single thing you say wrong?
  15. I though they were only in Nebraska!
  16. Pro tip: get a dashcam/rearview cam and hardwire the system into a fuse that always has power even when your car is parked and off. They'll automatically lock and save if it senses a hit and will 100% save your a$$. Source: saved mine a week after I bought it
  17. How much did you pay for Ben Shapiro's Masterclass on how to craft an argument to sound convincing even though it's based entirely on completely imaginary hypotheticals you just made up on the spot?
  18. I've watched this about 20 times this week. So mesmerizing and surreal.
  19. Sea levels only rise about .13 inches per year currently. The bigger point is that that rate is massively accelerating. But to your sarcastic point about how coastal cities aren't being swallowed whole, I mean sure we haven't had any cities wiped off the map (well, we actually kind of have, but you'll attribute those to freak events not correlated with climate change influencing sea levels), but homes and parts of towns on coastlines have absolutely been destroyed by rising sea levels. Less than 20 years ago there were two more streets of houses further out than these sandbagged ones right on top of the tide in Ocean Isle Beach, NC
  20. Why would the DA accept a plea if he's not cooperating? If he's making the plea then obviously they have enough evidence to have good odds at trial.
