Heard Ahman on Sharp & Benning. Sounds like he is a major DC Comics fan. #Fanboy

Great series! I think the second season (with the murder) got kind of lame for a bit but it was a great show. The problem with those shows that are set in high school/college is that it is tough to keep the characters around.

Watched it through twice. Loved every minute of it.

  2. I have a great new appreciation for DJ's Dugout, Brewsky's and other Omaha sports bars after eating at Danny's Sports Bar and Grill by the Legend's Mall in KC.

Great location, good decor, nursing home cafeteria quality food.

  3. My son was invited to the Football University Combine in KC this weekend. He has never been timed on a 40yd dash before until this day. He's 14, in 8th grade and ran a 5.10 (HH) and a 5.16 (HH). What I'm asking for is if anyone knows how to critique, his stance, his form,...etc. We both believe that he could have done better. 5.00 or possibly 4.9. Take a look and any feedback is much appreciated.
  4. Reminds me of Omaha Burkes head coach Limongi.

Considering how OU and President Boren reacted, I can't blame them for this one bit. Now there's a vine out there of the House Mom repeating the N word repeatedly.

I think it's more of a general SAE frat thing, rather than an OU thing. Supposedly, that song is sung by other chapters.

  10. Yeah because they are getting so much out of tackle football at that age. Lol.Hopefully they play in a headsup league. And from years of working with kids in sports at a young age I know that they learn lots. If you areworried about your child playing tackle football perhaps she can learn organizational skills by being an equipment manager. T_O_B I am a HUGE proponent of youth sports. It teaches sportsmanship, teamwork, winning/losing, etc. My son plays youth sports nearly year round. I am not sure what age group the OP's son is in, but I don't think tackle football is necessary until at least the middle school level. That's all my point is. I watched a friend's son play tackle football with 8-9 year olds. It was the most worthless game ever. If my son is a "girl" for playing soccer at this point, I guess I can look at changing his name.Didn't know your boy played soccer. It's certainly a sport that can get the kids in shape and doesn't require weight training which shouldn'tbe started any sooner than the second year of high school and is certainly better than getting fat while working on manual dexterity. 6th gradeis a perfect time to start tackle football. T_O_B Why shouldn't weight training be started until 2nd year of HS? Any certified strength coach etc etc would disagree with that statement I'm reluctant to let him now cause I don't want to stunt his growth.

He just finished playing youth football and will begin H.S. this Fall. He started off playing flag football when he was 7. Tackle when he was 9. I think most leagues in Omaha are Heads Up Certified. I believe the league that he was in was the 1st to get H.U. certified.

  14. In other words, what was missing in Bo's life? Was it money? Press? Not enough access to facilities?
  15. How about we do a little comparison of the two coaches? I'm shamelessly stealing this post from another board. We did nit have that many 4* recruits. Which recruiting site are you following?
  16. So Steele and Orgeron no longer in the picture?

Orgeron has long been rumored to be dirty. Don't know why Steele would leave for the same position at Nebraska, and I thought we were done with first time coordinators.

I'm pretty sure Riley would have a sit down with Coach O if he was hired on here and make clear any wind of dubious recruiting and he'd be out the door.

  17. W.W.J.P.S. What would Jason Peter say?
