About why we played them. Bo said in a conference that we had somebody verbally agreed on our schedule and they backed out. So then we were scrambling to see if anyone had an opening on their schedule. Idaho St had an offer from Colorado St to play for $300,00.00 or play us for $600000. And that is why we played them. Whoever we had before, backed out. GBR

If I don't ever see another Democrat in the Presidency, I will be happy. I am in the USAF and the Democrats do absolutely nothing good for us. And then you have everybody going, "OH, Obama is going to bring home our troops". Not even realizing, a majority of those troops over there, knew they were going over there when they joined and a lot of them joined so they could go to the middle east and Kick Ass! I have been in since 1997 and Democrats do nothing but BAD things for the military. I'm sorry, our current President, is slowly destroying our country and we need a very smart individual with the balls to go in and fire people who are not doing their job and replace them with someone who will. The Democrats need to quit taking money from our military and giving it to F@#$ing illegal aliens, lets kick all of them out of our country, and the Republicans need to learn to work with the Democrats and not go into a stalemate where govt checks get stopped ( a$$hole$). Both sides are far from perfect and I think that if the Republicans don't get their poop in a group, we will have Obama re-elected and that IS NOT GOOD. OK, that's enough for today.

Until these kids play a snap in D-1 ball, it is all speculation. Being a bada$$ in high school and going into college ball is like being a bada$$ in college and going pro. Two totally different worlds. The only ones we know about for sure are Martinez and Green, and I just don't hink Cody will ever be THE MAN. Sorry Cody, best of luck to you. Should propably switch to tide end. If not, he needs to become an absolutely amazing passer, which he is NOT now. That would be the only way he would have a chance of passing Martinez up. That being said, Martinez with a year on the books, and his ability to run, I just see him getting better and better as long as he learns to play smarter ball. As long as he stays healthy and gets to be a better passer, which he most definitly will, he will be our starter and I predict being right back in the Heisman race again next year. I just don't see Cody ever passing Taylor up. As for Carnes, Starling and the others, we will see soon enough, then we will have a million more predictions and arguments before we play our first game in the fall. I am so sick of the commentators thinking they are referees and saying this should have been or that shouldn't have been. They made such a big deal about last weeks hit when the guy layed there forever and had a concussion, ok it got called and we moved on. Then Martinez got hit and they called it, but it wasn't near a big deal because he didn't lay there for a half hour and get carried off. They just said, yep good call, and moved on. Then today Osborne went untouched into the backfield and hits Gabbert and as Gabbert seen it coming, he knew he was going to get hit and he dropped down a bit, and their helmets hit. What was Osborne supposed to do, let up and not wrap him up? Hell no. Then I changed the channel after the game and watched the end of the FL-GA game and the commentators on CBS were reviewing the games and they show the sack on Gabbert and those a##holes say " oh Dan Beebe has another suspention coming there". F these guys, I am so sick of them putting in their bullcrap opinions. I am just going to mute these clowns from now on, and play the internet radio broadcast. Every time Mark May opens his mouth, garbage comes out. I will turn the channel almost every time he is on. I can't stand him. They need to can him along with a few other idiots at ESPN and replace them with people who are going to talk like professionals, not somebody who either doesn't know crap about what is going on or the fact that they haven't watched a single game all year. I remember him at the beginning of last year when asked if he thought we were going to a bowl game? NO, sorry but no. Maybe next year. He's an idiot.

I have never hunted anywhere but where I grew up in southwest Nebraska, and the deer hunting there is amazing. I have seen many trophy deer taken there over the years and have taken a couple myself. I lived in a small town called Beaver City, and the 2 areas there are Frenchman and Republican. I have seen Muleys well over 30" and serveral huge whitetails as well. I have shot big Muleys, but the whitetails still manage to stay out too far. If you get a license in either of those two areas, you will find big deer. My friends wife shot a Big whitetail last year that scored 178 7/8". It was just south of my uncles farm, and had nobody had ever seen that deer before. It's just right place at the right time.

I will pray for all of you who grew up driving in snow in Nebraska, that live down in parts of the country where people don't have a clue how to do it.

First off, I know we all want the Huskers to win. But I really NEED them to win. A little background here, I grew up in Nebraska my whole life and joined the Air Force and have been stationed in the Florida panhandle at Hurlburt Field my whole career. Don't get me wrong, I love it down here. I love to fish, great weather, golf all year. But.........It's SEC country!! You guys think ESPN is bad or anyone else hates Nebraska, all I ever hear about is Florida, Alabama, or the SEC as a whole how they are the best thing since sliced bread and the SEC championship should be the National Championship, so on and so forth all day long......I want to puke. Now I have been down here since 1999 and Nebraska has been up and down during that time frame and they really don't comment that much on the radio about them because all they talk about is SEC football. Now that Nebraska is playing Texas for the Big 12 Championship, they have to atleast mention it. So i'm driving to work this morning listening to the radio and they finally mention the UT-Husker game. I thought great, finally a little Husker talk. Then they both go on to say how Texas is tired of hearing how good our defense is and we don't have a chance and that Texas is going to make a statement and hang 50 pts. on us. That's about the time I had to change the station. SO....that being said, I really, really, hope that the Huskers go out and play their best game and beat Texas. Then all the naysayers that said the Big 12 North sux, and Nebraska's D is overrated. They will all shut up and I will sit back and smile as we go to the Fiesta Bowl.
