  1. We're too busy trying to figure out how to get into the WAC to worry about where the hell Nebraska ends up...
  2. Hey Mr Wine...do you remember that time in 1983 when Jim Skow kicked my helmet across the field? That was the highlight of my year! You wouldn't happen to have a video of that would you? I'd be willing to drive to Cozad and pick it up if you don't want to hitch your oxen to the wagon. Let me know!
  3. You all need to quit knocking the O-line. Nebraska recruited them so unless You want to admit that the Huskers recruit crap players with no talent put the blame where it belongs...coaching and development. If this O-line was at Iowa or Wisconsin do you think they would be out looking clueless? No...because these schools have coaching staffs that concentrate on technique and development. Nebraska...through coaching turnover or ineptitude or whatever...hasn't been doing this for years. Bo hired Barney for gods sake. That should tell you how much importance has been put on the O-line over the past years. The lunacy continues...and Farinok is a great example. Younger brother of an All Big 12 and NFL center, he played center in high school, was recruited as a center, gets to Nebraska and some genius decides he's a tackle? The hell??? Don't think it will get better any time soon. Most decent linemen in the immediate recruiting area are getting snapped up by Iowa, Wisconsin, Oklahoma...even Iowa State is picking off a stray lineman or two. What's the answer? Who knows...hire Barney back maybe. Poach a line coach from somewhere like K-state where line play is always decent. Ultimately though, everyone needs to quit hating on the linemen, replacing them with younger guys who are just as ineptly coached as they are is just going to give you a new crop of linemen to hate on next year.
  4. When did Cozad get electricity?
  5. True story...the Game Day trucks all got stuck behind some ox carts and stage coaches after the Iowa State/Iowa game a couple weeks ago. ESPN expects them to finally get by the last combine late on Friday night. The only game close enough for them to get to and set up in time for was Nebraska-Ohio State. Oh...and the drivers were all shacked up with Amish hookers in Ames so that slowed things down too. ESPN was very upset when they called UNO and found out they didn't have a football program any more.
  6. What I learned... A win is a good thing and there were a lot of great individual efforts...BUT...this team is still so inconsistent I have no idea what's going to happen next. The O line would look great one play and get buried on the next...the D line would stuff the run on one play and get gashed on the next. Martinez looks like crap for the first half and then lights it up in the second. Total inconsistency. Personally, I think the offense may have turned a corner and could have some good games ahead of them. The defense still needs work. The coverage is far from spectacular. Speed is lacking on the outside and pressure from the D line is really unimpressive. The most important thing I learned, however, is that I would like to play Louisiana-Monroe every weekend and that Purdy is waaaay ahead of Martinez in Heismann votes.
  7. Don't worry...we'll humble the Sqwaukeyes for you. Put you right back into contention in the West. We'll do our part...you guys do yours...
  8. What I learned last Saturday We need to quit scheduling UNI....
  9. Highest completion percentage as a true college freshman...in the entire history of the world (really...look it up) i present your next Heisman winner Brock Purdy, QB, Iowa State.
  10. I learned that Ohio State wii probably win the Big10 I learned that Texas will probably win the Big12 I learned the BCS Playoffs will probably end up being Alabama...whoever Alabama beats for the SEC Championship, Notre Dame and Clemson and most of us in the snow lands won't really give a rat's a$$. I learned that it really wouldn't matter anyway because those tough SEC teams will be playing these playoff games in some warm weather stadium where the will all have the advantage of being acclimated to the weather whereas if they came north to play in Lincoln or Ames or Madison or such, they would all die. Nebraska will improve next year but they will not win the Big 10 in the foreseeable future as it has been scientifically proven that if Ohio State does not win the Big 10 and Texas does not lock up the Big 12, our planet will be ejected from the solar system to wander lost through the universe for eternity...
  11. Haven't looked so someone tell me how this horrible Michigan State team made six wins?
  12. 81 - ISU in Lincoln...my team lost 82 - Nebraska in Ames...my team lost 83 - ISU in Lincoln...my team lost 84 - Nebraska in Ames...my team lost Figured out I could be a loser without applying for financial aid after that...
  13. I speak Puny so you can understand it, mouth breather!
  14. I don't have opinions...I have truth based on massive conjecture which I demand you to accept as unassailable fact! You would do well to take heed when I speak puny mortals!
  15. You can't legitimately complain about officiating until you get one of these
  16. I learned the defense is almost...almost...up to Big 12 status.
  17. Troll your message board...hell boy, I've been on this board since before you wore long pants. Played on your field, chased your legends...and didn't catch them. Still a fan...just not the #1 team for me. #2 will have to be good enough.
  18. When you really get depressed thinking the Huskers suck...watch this and you'll feel better
  19. No can do. Too pumped. First time the lowly Cyclones have beaten back to back ranked teams since ...19 freaking 73! I was 11 years old. Most of you weren't even born yet! Frost needs to give Matt a call and ask for some pointers...
  20. What did I learn today? I learned that we would absolutely drive you into the dirt if we played you this year
