First year with a fake tree ever and i'm pissed I didn't do it sooner. No pine needles everywhere, no tree sap all over my hands dragging it in and it's the way I want it rather than waiting for it to "fall" and settle with a blank spot near the bottom.
We used to go up in the mountains and cut one down but that's a whole lotta work and effort in 4' deep snow. Also learned to go up hill from the vehicle to locate a tree after stupidly going downhill once and having to drag it a quarter mile uphill.
