 http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2018/05/07/injured-bear-fatally-mauls-man-who-attempted-to-take-selfie-with-it.html  I think the only way to help someone being mauled by a bear would be to injure the bear.  I could probably save my friend but that's not fair to the bear who is just being a bear, so I'd test Darwin's theory.  Besides, people survive bear attacks.  

I prefer to watch bears from a distance without disturbing them https://explore.org/livecams/bears/brown-bear-salmon-cam-brooks-falls.  I spent a workday watching them catch salmon and decided that it's not easy being a bear.

@4skers89 it's the same story. I don't remember which place I read that they were treating the bear, but I'm guessing the one I saw was wrong.
