Apathy

I like to check out the Wild Nature section in Fox News since animals are always doing something interesting.  Alligators hanging out in garages, crossing a highway and getting escorted across a golf course by a sandhill crane.  Then you've got koala bears shopping in supermarkets, raccoons falling through living room ceilings.  The guy was told by his friends not to take the selfie so I wouldn't expect them to help.  Hopefully the bear wasn't euthanized because of this guys stupidity.  I'm not worried about Indians going extinct but can't say the same about Asian bears. 

I read that article last week.  It made me consider the tough spot those buddies were put in.  I mean, they *told* the guy not to mess with that wounded bear.  And then the bear turned out to be ferocious.  Tough spot to be in, sitting in that car watching it.  I'd like to think I'm brave enough to help out.  But I'd also like to think I'm not foolhardy enough to get ripped to shreds due to the idiocy of some other moron.  The only thing I could think of is that I'd try, if possible, to use the car itself as a weapon to drive the bear away long enough to pull wounded idiot buddy inside.  

I like to think I'd try to save my favorite people in any situation, but if they didn't care enough to not do something like this when I asked them not to, maybe I wouldn't.
