TGHusker, I remember when Horse With No Name came out too. I have their greatest hits CD. My very favorite America song is ‘Tin Man’
I enjoy Neil Young too. My favorite is Harvest Moon. I like Gordon Lightfoot too. The Edmund Fitzgerald is a favorite but my favorite is ‘Beautiful’. Carole King, Joni Mitchell and especially James Taylor were my favorites. For more intense rock-Grand Funk Railroad.
The Who is excellent too. For me songwriters who write their own music and play their own instruments are the best.

@Comfortably Numb I saw them in Sioux city a few years back,they put on a good show.@ladyhawk check Townes out he's an excellent song writer and guitar player,his love of chemicals kept him from being better known.
