I got no problem with him crying after a loss, he's a senior, going for a national title and their hopes were dashed like that. He probablly gave his all for that team and it just sucks to lose like that. I think it just shows how much he loves to play and that he is dedicated, I remember my final high school football game. It's tough.

Does anyone remember the game in Colorado a few years ago? In 2005, Nebraska played their last regular season game against Colorado. Right before half-time Zac Taylor spiked the ball for a chance to kick a field goal before halftime. When the ball hit the ground there were 2-3 seconds still showing on the clock. However the scorekeeper failed to stop the clock. Time expirewd. Callahan argued with the on-field officials but was told that the play was not reviewable. So, how is Texas' 1 second any different from our 2-3 seconds. How is that any more egregious?

I don't have anything wrong with Colorado trying til the bitter end. that's what you're suppose to do when you're down, especially only 2 possessions. could score, get the onside, and score to tie it up. anything is possible. and if you think Colorado should knee to end their season you're mistaken. the only thing I found wrong with that play was that our defense had psychologically already hit the showers. 4 quarters, means 4 quarters, every minute, every second of it. and we weren't there for all of them seconds. it was win for Nebraska so I'm happy, not pretty win by any means, but a win none the less. and at the end of the day the only thing that matters is that W. 9-3, lets keep truckin. GO BIG RED!!!

I agree with this, Lee is new to the option, give him sometime to wrap his arms around it. I'm sure he'll get more confident running it with the more time he does it.

To me being "back" is being in contention for BCS bowls on a regular basis, putting ourselves in position to make some noise on the national stage, being in contention for those national championships doesn't hurt either. Do well in the conference, get some Big 12 titles, stay in the top 15 or so every year. lots to as for I know. not every year is going to be a great year, but I want to feel proud everytime this team plays and see the Huskers competitive against no matter who they play, where, or when. GO BIG RED!!!

If you want to be conference champion you're going to have the beat the best there is so, doesn't really matter who, if you want to be the best, beat the best.

Hawkins seems like a good overall guy to me, he's upfront and honest at least, may not be the best coach ever to walk the Earth but

i totally agree, we still have a great opportunity to gather our offense together, play green, see what happens and possibly win out till big 12 championship!! our defense can hold any team we go against, we need to watch for dumb plays and solid offense and we will win! so 10-2 season, possibly top 15? possible, lets hope our offense can come together GO BIG RED!!!

I don't blame Bo, disappointing loss. If I had some reporters asking me questions right now I probablly wouldn't be all cheerful and congratulating them on the awesome question. I'm glad to see a coach who is actually bothered by a loss. Shows he wants to win, not just pretend it didn't happen like it did.
