  1. Aaand this thread has officially went off whatever rails it may have been on when it was started...
  2. Yes, they are. Apostrophes are awesome, too, but they aren't used to pluralize words.
  3. Minnesota's biggest wins are against Illinois (2-3) and Purdue (1-5). Nebraska's biggest wins are against Illinois and Northwestern (1-4). The only team Minnesota has played with a winning record is South Dakota State. Come to think of it, South Dakota State might actually be a bigger win than Illinois or Purdue. I'm predicting a win, but it'll be another ugly one. We've got too many weaknesses to expect anything more than that against anyone.
  4. Too many people don't grasp just how young and inexperienced this offensive line is. O-lines take longer to develop than any other position on a football team. But right now our O-line depth chart is just 40% upperclassmen, and not one single senior. For comparison, the OL depth chart during Bo's last season was 83% upperclassmen.
  5. They've been doing this for almost two years - how do you think we ended up with an offensive depth chart that's only 38% upperclassmen? That number should be 50%+.
  6. Previously on HuskerBoard:
  7. .83 composite rating. That's tied for the second lowest rating of any recruit in the Frost era...
  8. And if you were a college AD, you'd hire an NFL coach for the same reason?
  9. Yeah, he injured his ankle against Missouri, and Caputo stepped on that ankle a few weeks later. He was never full speed after that.
  10. It does look like it angled to camera left after it was kicked. I need more pixels, knap, go find a better video!
  11. Did anybody ask Frost about putting McCaffrey in for a single play when you're trying to keep him to 4 games max?
  12. Gerald Fitzpatrick and Patrick Fitzgerald. You know where you know those names from...
  13. Do you have any idea how long it takes to develop offensive linemen? Hint: longer than any other position on a football team. Unfortunately, that means you're probably not gonna see much improvement from the OL by the end of this year. On the other hand, there are zero seniors on the OL 2-deep. Don't be surprised if these same players look very different by the time they're done with their careers at Nebraska. You're missing something: right now, Frost doesn't really even have the luxury of playing guys other than the ones he recruited on offense. Spielman and a couple linemen, that's basically all that's left of the Riley era on offense. Frost's guys are still freshmen and sophomores! Yeah, some underclassmen can be significant contributors. But do you know what happens when 3/4 of your offense is underclassmen and transfers with just a few months in the system? You're looking at it. We did have 6-9 last year...
  14. Both walk-on walk-offs against Northwestern.
  15. I've been off the board for a few days and this is what greets me when I come back?!
  16. Throw the trom-bones?

  17. Somebody was complaining about hearing Africa in Memorial Stadium? Could be worse: I just heard Dancing Queen on the Baylor vs Iowa State game.

Point me in the direction of the person who is complaining about Africa.

  18. Probably, but notice that there's two floors on it that are above the top of the stands. Could be space for some new suites or something. @schriznoeder I know that. I get your point, I just don't think it's as big of a deal as you're making it out to be.
  19. @schriznoeder I think a lot of it is just that this is a preliminary design. They probably haven't started on the design of the new track stadium, so they haven't really asked Pepin what he needs yet. Frankly, this announcement was probably rushed a bit to get it out there for the College Gameday publicity.
  20. The new outdoor track is going to be pretty much across the street from the Bob Devaney Center, which is where the indoor track is, along with the track & field coaches offices. This should be a nice upgrade for them.
