    Anybody have any experience with cars with a salvage title? I know one should definitely be careful but I found one that got one due to hail and everything else seems to be in working order. I'm not really that concerned with resale value either since I may try to pass it on to my little brother in a few years if I do get it.

      I know several people who have had good luck with salvage vehicles. Hail damage certainly doesn't affect drivability.

      ^^That. I owned a car with a salvage title for quite a few years. Never had a problem with it. But I've heard others have haven't had problems. Mostly with salvage titles due to water damage. (Floods.) So there's that.

      Salvage titles usually mean new parts! If you can get a car fax or receipts for the work done to see what all the damage was and make a decision from there.frame damage can be a deal breaker.
