  1. i completely agree, true. but i think the counterargument would be that maybe he just wanted less pressure, yada, yada, yada. but if that is true, it is more proof that he did not belong as the head coach of donu. and if he does not take paps as his dc, that is a little insulting. imo. Seems like only yesterday the narrative was if NU canned Bo after a 9-win season he'd have his pick of D1 jobs, and NU would have to settle for their 8th choice. This. NAILED IT! The main thing I take away from everything is we just let go of a potential 10-win coach and the dude can't SNIFF a D1 offer as HC. That REEKS of overrated. What was that about national perception, Bo?
  2. ShawnWatson nailed why they're more well-known. They're richer and more technologically capable of self-promotion. Are those of you against military response against the drone bombings? I don't see the harm in those if we carry them out correctly. If we have credible intel that we're going to be taking out the bad guys instead of the good guys, I think it'll do nothing but good. I think it sends the tone that we're not going to tolerate their crap, but at the same time we're not going to be baited into sending our boys over onto their soil. You're right, Buster, more American bloodshed is exactly what they want. Or bloodshed from anyone, really. They're just friggin' bullies with maniacal agendas. I think we and the other world powers should team up using long-range attacks and turn ISIS into our personal Private Pyle.
  3. My favorite take on this situaish I've heard yet: What are historians 100 or 200 years gonna think if they look back at our presidents and see HW- Bill - W - Obama - Hillary/Jeb? Not a good look to have two political families running the show for 30+ years. I bust out laughing HARD when some comedian dropped that line on Todd n Tyler one day.
  4. We don't have the strongest admissions crew in the world either... *** COUGH COUGH Roburt Sallie COUGH ***
  5. This is an awesome opportunity! Many thanks to Jack Mason for offering this to us for nothing! Thinking of pulling the trigger on a watch for Dad and a wallet for myself for Christmas. Now, how much do I trust our Skers...?
  6. IIRC it's worth 8 million over the next four years.
  7. Good for Bo. Happy he landed back home and found a HC gig elsewhere. The buyout illustrates the problem with reupping for a higher salary every year for no reason.
  8. Lol. Like Daishon, but the fact that he considers himself on par with Bussey and Jones is comical enough for me to say have fun committing to Oregon when they won't take you (too much Fireball in me tonight, sorry).+1 for politeness Bone.
  9. Lol @ tremendous hire. Still, happy for these guys.
  10. North Korea has such an inferiority complex. They're like the scrawny little brother who desperately wanted to prove he was big and tough enough to hang with his older brother's friends, even though he clearly wasn't .

  11. I'm assuming no live announcement? No streaming?
  12. Note the guy's username who said Nebraska is dead... NFLU. A coincidence? I think not.
  13. You're right Zoogs. That was pretty much the conclusion I came to as well after mulling over the problem some. I think the plan of attack we're using now of further training for the Iraqi military, as well as strategic drone bombings is the best we can do. Extremist factions and terrorists groups are far too widespread and at the same time faceless to actually eliminate. I suppose we just have to do the best to identify and eliminate their leaders when the opportunity presents itself while trying to minimize/avoid direct attacks from them on civilians. I just hope we continue to make support against ISIS consistent priority amidst the myriad of other complaints people seem to have about the direction of our country right now. Hearing of their acts against humanity makes my blood boil like few things can nowadays.
  14. Seems lightly recruited but Riley has proven to have an excellent ye for talent. Plus, getting a foot in the door at IMG could be very fruitful...
  15. http://www.cnn.com/2014/12/12/world/meast/isis-justification-female-slaves/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/isis-recruiting-lone-wolf-terrorists-target-times-square-bratton-article-1.1941687 I know dangerous factions like this have existed in different pockets of the world for longer than I have been alive, but this ISIS group strikes me as particularly scummy and reckless. I hope that whatever we do in the future, we continue to strive to equip the Iraqis with knowledge and training in eradicating these asshats. I'm truly worried if we give this group an inch, they may begin to plan out another 9/11 type attack on our home soil. They've openly admitted to trying to recruit sympathizers in the US to attack US citizens. From there, it's a short walk to them panning out some other type of major terrorist attack. It's probably already be discussed, but what do you think is the ideal way for the US to contribute to dealing with ISIS?

  19. $100,000 to tie for first in division, but $150,000 just to make a bowl. Yeah it's interesting. Similar to Bo's. In addition I think it was 250K for BCS appearance and 500K for winning one. Maybe a little more or less, so don't quote me Are you saying Pelini had no bonuses built in for reaching/winning the Big 10? That would certainly explain a great deal
  20. That's not necessarily correct. He didn't have the freedom to do what he wanted to do with the program, and OSU had that freedom.
  21. Gee thanks. You made me throw up on my keyboard, dammit Dang. My bad! I made somebody spit coffee out onto theirs the other day too. I guess I owe both of you one. I didn't budget this much for keyboards this year!
