    With all the violence, wars, terrorism, and killing that goes on every single day, why is the Gianforte body slam such a huge deal? Sure Gianforte was clearly, CLEARLY, way out of line. But are reporters free to do anything to get a reaction?

      A bit late to the game, but let's do a thought experiment.

       

      Let's say Ernie Chambers hauls off and clocks a journalist tomorrow for asking why he's a thug. Is it OK then? If it was a national politician, do you think Republicans would have a problem with it?
