  1. Took the words right out of my mouth.
  2. I did. https://www.facebook.com/fresnostateathletics/photos/a.101170002194.112811.93496957194/10155283749652195/?type=3&theater
  3. Thank you for posting, the things you don't see on TV, spine tingling indeed to listen to the applause build and build when fans figured out what was going on and nothing but pure class from the Fresno St. players for applauding as well.
  4. The Big 10 always announces their night games in advance, ESPN/ABC night games were announced a couple of weeks ago. I'm guessing the Oregon game will be a reverse mirror 2:30 telecast.
  5. As someone who follows the business of sports media, I'm not at all surprised that Fox has acquired a portion of the lucrative B1G tv contract and wouldn't surprise me if Fox takes it all. Unless Fox can improve distribution of Fox Sports 2, I don't see B1G games on that network. That leaves Fox Sports 1 and the Fox broadcast network with a wildcard of the regional Fox sports networks (Fox Sports Midwest, etc.). The only issue there is that in some B1G states (IA, IL, PA, MD) the primary regional sports net is an NBC owned regional sports net (Comcast SportsNet Chicago as an example), perhaps that opens the door for NBC and its NBCSN and regional sports networks to outbid ESPN, I don't see it though especially with NBC having the rights to NASCAR in the fall. Fox does own the majority interest in the Yankees YES Network. All of that said, even though ESPN is bleeding money, not having the B1G and their preference for 11am kicks would kill their 11am windows across all networks.
  6. If he's dumb enough to have his Facebook marked as public in that anyone and everyone can see what he posts, that's his problem. As a job seeker, my Facebook is on total lock down to non-friends, non-friends can't see what I post, my friends, or the family vacation pictures that I share.
  7. I like Reily's honesty on the subject, further proof that kids commit to a coach and not a school.
  8. Ultimately, (and no pun intended here) this is a signal to KFAB that they have to boost the reach of their overall radio signal, especially at night. There is no question that at the present time 590AM has a much wider reach during all times of the day than what KFAB has. I think in the future Nebraska games will return to KFAB like they did in 2001, but the onus is on KFAB now to make that happen. I'm guessing it came down to money, Journal outbid Cheap, I mean Clear Channel. 50,000 wats is the max power for an AM frequency and without getting to nerdy explaining it, but there is nothing that can be done about their signal at night.
  9. Not really, there was a time when the Huskers were on KKAR. When it comes to football, with every game televised, this is not a big deal (other than an FM simulcast), but for the other sports, this is a great move. 590 will air ALL baseball games, including Friday games, and the reach of 590's signal is bigger than that of KFAB's. The only time I ever listen to a Husker football game is in the car and good luck getting KFAB in Des Moines after dark, 590's signal booms in day AND night.
  10. So that the B1G can get into a region of the country that could care less about college football (New York City), Nebraska goes from playing Michigan, Michigan St., & Penn St. every year and Ohio St. & Wisconsin every two years to playing Purdue, Illinois and Wisconsin on a yearly basis and in 2016, Indiana joins those three. YUCK. I gett that Nebraska is still the new kid on the B1G's block, but that's not a fair trade if you ask me.
  11. Thanks for the breakdown. Good luck to your Bruins this weekend.
  12. I agree with this. With so many redshirt and truefreshman playing, no doubt there will bumps in the road, however, after watching the game Saturday night, this young defense has a very strong upside and they will continue to improve from here on out and the bumps in the road are at a minimum. IIRC, what hurt last year at UCLA was that Beck went conservative on offense. Once you stomp on the gas, don't let up.
  13. Baring injuries, i've felt all Summer that this offense had the potential to be as good as any offense from the mid 90's, never really thought of comparing this year's offense to the scoring explosion team.
  14. Wow. What helicopter parents will do to a kid as well as the NCAA limiting the hours these kids can spend doing what they love best. http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/9521439/heisman-winner-johnny-manziel-celebrity-derail-texas-aggies-season-espn-magazine
  15. I saw the video on Twitter, it was tweeted by someone from KLIN Radio and why I don't know, but the University asked that it be removed.
  16. As someone who is scared of heights, this made me cringe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkZIjdLWC2Y&list=UUj3jZJazN1EKY7L7FYUEh0A
  17. If Iowa didn't go 4-8 last year as well as Ferentz publicaly complaining about the Friday game, the B1G wouldn't be looking at switching things up. Screw 'em. I'm sure Alaverz at Wisconsin would embrace playing Nebraska on Black Friday. Oh and I agree with the time, let's do it at 2:30.
  18. I thought Oklahoma was on the schedule in the early 20's as part of the 50th anniversary of The Game of the Century?
  19. Just heard this on Sirius XM, NFL.com is reporting that Dennard was not ask submit to a blood test and his camp claims he did not fail the field sobriety test. http://www.nfl.com/n...-sobriety-tests
  20. Ha ha! It's probably a good thing the Iowa fans love Ferentz. It would cost them a fortune to fire him. About $18 million if they fire him this season. The buyout is exactly why Ferentz isn't going anywhere. Ferentz is overpaid and over hyped.
  21. In other words, greed is leading to these huge conferences which are ruining the sport. Yep, the addition of Maryland and Rutgers was to tap into the major east coast markets, these two schools adds nothing to the B1G. I was probably the only one who liked the competive balance of Legends and Leaders.
  22. Start winning conference championships and BCS bowl games and then we'll talk, but in 2012, to compare Ohio to Boise St is ridiclous
  23. If you have access to an exclusive use area like a patio or deck, the FCC will over ride whatever the landlord or management company says.
  24. For the Washington game, if your local ABC won't have the the NU/Washington game, it will be on ESPN, it's that way for all B1G games that are on ABC. If your cable/satellite provider has ESPN, ESPN2, BTN, and VERSUS for the Wyoming game (Wyoming is a road game, so the Mountain West TV package applies), you will be set. If not, check with your provider to see if they are in a different programming package. For example with Dish Network, within the Big 10 footprint, BTN is included in most programming packages, outside of the Big 10 footprint, it's only available in the sports pack.
