I am sure it will be a while before beer is sold at football games, but I don't see an issue why NU isn't selling beer and other alcohol at basketball, baseball, and other events.

I may be wrong here, and I'm sure this isn't the major reason but, alcohol is not allowed on campus. So, I think that would lend itself towards beer being allowed at basketball and baseball but maybe not in the stadium.

It's not like people "need" beer at football games. Most are pretty well versed in getting plenty before and after at the bars or tailgates. It does seem like a pretty good revenue source that they won't want to ignore for too long.

There are plenty of "dry" campuses which allow alcohol to be sold inside their on-campus stadiums/arenas.  I know people would worry about binge drinking at the stadium, but I think binge drinking is worse without alcohol being sold at the games.  I know from first-hand experience.
