    It was a bad hire from the start. He is a good recruiter but needs to hire some stud X's and O's guys. He has now gotten two really good jobs with little merit.

    Who remembers having to turn on C-SPAN to see the scores of games?  And...who can name at least one of the two sports dudes on that station.

      I remember utilizing 800-Sports back in the day to get updated sports scores.

      I don't remember that.  But your post did give my an idea.  Right now most people would agree that ESPN is a joke, FoxNews, MSNBC and their ilk are a joke, and the weather channel is a joke because they try to stretch 3 hours of news into 24.  What if a new channel came up with a 6 hour cycle that included sports stories and scores, national and world news, and cool stories about tornadoes and hurricanes?  If there is a TV executive here, please don't be shy about sharing profits.

    FSU fans are depressed because they hired the wrong coach. WT is the recruiter they need but until he tells his OC and DC "Do what you think will work"...FSU is screwed.

    I learned that the tailgating was really bad today (I heard that while at the bars in Lincoln) and that the bars were pretty dead...but still fun!

    Went to Lincoln today...it was weird because it was by the far the deadest I have ever seen the bars before and during the game...But even today was probably more packed and more fun/packed than most other big ten bars.

      Maybe, but I don't think a lot...Barry's, which is usually shoulder to shoulder on the roof and on the main floor was wide open...Sandy's which is usually butt to butt before the game was about half filled.

    I think you will see Miles try and steal some rests for guys right before a TV timeout...right before the half...If they get up 15-20 I could see him steal some rest time...

    I think that he understands that his is a game where BC is really doing the Huskers the favor. I don't think he is looking to try and embarrass them. I have coached a ton of games and when I have hated the other staff we do what we can to run it up...when we like the other staff we don't. I kind of get the feeling that this is that type of game. It isn't that you stop running your offense...it is that you run some inside zone from your playbook instead of something that might be more likely to be a big play.

    I am starting to think that once conference play starts...this team will be the 5 starters and that is it...subs will be few and far between.

    Tough lines this week...here goes Huskers -41.5 Wisconsin -4.5 AM +1.5 Mark it down and lock it up.

    Yeah...this is his death job...he will be carried out in a coffin before he leaves.

    The line is higher than I thought it would be (Now at -41.5). I really don't know what side I like. I can see NU scoring on most of their possessions and I can also see B-C scoring in the 4-6 times as well. I also kind of think there is a chance that Frost does everything he can to make sure this score is not a 70-14 type game.

    It is crazy how it has changed...for years your HC retired and basically became AD...shook hands, played golf, told stories and went drinking with boosters to drum up money.
