      Ya know, I'm all for bars doing what they can to prevent serving underage patrons but why do they have to be fake ID experts? If it's obviously a fake fine but if there was effort put into it why is that their fault?

      For shame guys...we're talking about the best video games of all time, and it takes until post 12 to mention Street Fighter, and no mention of the following (off the top of my head):

       

      NFL Blitz 

      Pac-Man/Family (e.g. Ms. Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man)

      R-Type

      Crazy Taxi 

      Ikari Warriors

      Samurai Showdown II (or IV)

      Killer Instinct 2

      Smash TV (I'd still buy this for a dollar)

      Metal Slug (all but XX)

      Gauntlet (LOL--this should have been one of the first titles that came up if we're talking multiplayer)

      Marvel vs. Capcom

      Soul Caliber (whole series is good)

      Tekken

      Outrun

      Punch Out

      Elevator Action

      Tetris

       

      And while Mortal Kombat 2 was great...it still doesn't hold a candle to Super Street Fighter II Turbo. That game was lit.

    None of them mentioned being welcomed with open arms when they got here...they more just mentioned the opportunity to succeed. One mentioned some issues with othres when they got here. I don't host any of them anymore so I don't have a chance to ask them but it would be interesting to hear what they said. Honestly though, I still think they would say that America is the best.

    Well one of the regulars that I brought in passed away, so I can't ask her that anymore. Not to put words in their mouth but from the way they spoke about this country I have a feeling that their opinion would not have changed one bit. All of them that spoke to my classes over the years would repeat how great America was over and over. With that said, none of my speakers, from what I remember, came to this country in the 40's. I think the early 50's was the earliest. Most, in the mid (mostly late) 40's were still basically orphans in Europe, trying to find family, friends, information or a way to live.

    I have hosted more than a few concentration camp survivors as guest speakers. I can tell you this much... 1. They said they would never forgive the Nazi's 2. They said they were "angry" at the people around that did not help 3. They said America was the greatest country in the world All of them said those things. Each time. The first two questions were always asked about by my classes. The third was brought up by the speaker themselves.

    Nah...Chicago is a horrible college town...Right now they don't give AF about ND at all for the most part. And Chicago LOVES Illini Basketball...when they are flying.

    Unreal...scary...ugly. My students are usually shocked at this one. Looks like there is a bus in the back, I could be wrong, maybe two or three of them. It has been awhile since I taught this but I think this was like late 40's?

    I use that picture in class. The creepiest one I have seen, little kids with their parents, all dressed up in it. You can google it, it will give you chills.

    I am not defending anyone, those people are idiots, period. Most of them should be executed for the stuff they do. I just said that most organizations start off with good intentions. I didn't say all, but most. Then people come and ruin them. I await your apology.

    Most things are paved with good intentions...it is the a$$hole$ that ruin it...that goes for any side and any organization. From little league baseball to political groups.
