  1. Don't really care to read where this post is now...probably..off topic by now.....since that is the way it usually goes.....and this is kind of like padding your stats..cuz I need some posts! I voted 2009...maybe I am partial to Suh, but that line stopped everyone running for the majority of the year. You can say that Vtech, and Texas are probably the only two teams worth a penny on the run game, but that front like was nasty, and the secondary was a scary. Tmart would of been torn apart, and the ballhawking would enSUH. 2009 wins with Field Goals and D-TD's 2009 - 23 2012 - 18
  2. With the addition of Rutgers and Maryland next year the divisions are obviously going to change. But I don't think we have to remain standard in their formations and how they play out. I believe that the B1G looking to take the conference to another level, and here is how I'd like to see it play out. 2 Divisions (East/West) Legends and Leaders, I don't really care anymore. 4 sub divisions of three teams a piece 2 float teams (last years division winners) West 1 Wisconsin Iowa Minnesota West 2 Northwestern Michigan State Illinois Nebraska Floats (assuming 2012 division winners) East 1 Michigan Rutgers Purdue East 2 Maryland Penn State Indiana Ohio State Floats (already determined 2012 division winners) The way I would like to see it. Is the Division winners should play each other week 1 a "true" neutral site, and then would play all teams who finished 3-10 during the last season. Each conference schedule should be created just prior to the season starts. Non-con remains the same. The bottom feeders will have the easiest schedules to play to promote the most teams possible making them bowl eligible. Each team play the two teams in their sub division first, two in each of the other sub divisions totaling 8 conference games. The home and away games would be determined only by where you played that team last. There are obviously lots of other issues with doing it this way, but its a thought
  3. I've been a husker fan since the early 90's. Though I was too young to really understand what I was seeing during the championship years, I still remember the game when TO was hoisted on top of the shoulders of the players. I have wanted for years to make the almost 5 hour trip for years, but life always seems to get into the way. But not this weekend my friends! I got to part of the East Stadium card stunt on Saturday, i don't know how many of you guys where there, or got to be on that side holding up the card. But to look through that little eye opening and see what it spelled, and then to see the flashes from all over the stadium was so freaking surreal. All of those flashes represents someone else's evidence of the tribute to a great man Tom Osborn. Though I may not be in any of those pictures with a face, but I was one of several thousands who all made that possible. Those pictures are going to live on for a long time, and my role in all of that will also. For someone else's memories, Tom's and mine. The game was freaking awesome..I still can't talk because I yelled so much and so long. I felt that if I didn't yell, then the one player would hear what he needed to hear to make the play and I was not about to let that happen. Don't care how true or not it was, but it was truly one of the best experiences of my life. I honestly just don't know what else I can put into words about the whole experience. It was everything I ever wanted it to be. Great seats (Section 4, Row 15, Seats 1 and 2) I have already talked to the person I bought my tickets from for future purchases from them if they are unable to go. So If you are close, lemme know and we'll be sure to have some good times in the future. That's all guys, so glad I can share all of this with you.
  4. Its so awesome to keep seeing guys who were under valued turning out to be contributors....Prince (not really undervalued) Helu Jr. came out big last year, David this year. Why can't all these guys just be drafted by the lions.....it would make life easier.
  5. I think you should add, Ever went to bootcamp...since this is obviously the reason for this post.
  6. On cornnation the other there was an article about how "not uptempo" our offense is. In this article it talkes about how we hike the ball before twenty seconds....i'm curious how often we actually do get the ball of before the twenty second mark. I'd put money on..not at that often really, but that's just a guestimation.
  7. I have noticed this too, but I don't remember seeing the clap cadence at tOSU, probably because I wasn't paying that close of attention...honestly I was more interested in keeping myself emotionally connected to the game before ruined my night. A clap certainly seems like an audible sound that can break through the noise of a rowdy crowd. So I guess makes since, specially because we are playing a venues that exceed 100k fans.
  8. agree 100%. If its so obvious to us, why are these things allowed to happen, can't tell me that allowing these kids, or even encouraging these kids to do things like this bodes well for how they'll act as grown men.4 Its embarrassing
  9. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but just under five minutes left in the first half after Evans gets called for PI, MSU Coach yells "You guys suck". In my profession, reading lips is something I have picked up on, but you can hear "SUCK" at the end. Obviously you don't know who he's talking to for sure, but you have to wonder that if a coach is saying this towards another team after a PI call, and you have some pretty dirty plays with your players, makes you wonder if this culture comes from the coach. I don't care what Bo does on the sideline, but I've never seen him be classless on the sidelines towards the other team.
  10. I get goose bumps everytime they fly over...It is the best part of the pregame in my opinion. I feel bad for the pilots doing the fly over if they are Husker Fans. They miss part of the game/lol Um... they are in freaking fighter jets. Id miss a NU game to fly one of those bad boys any day of the week! um every thing is exciting at first. Then it becomes standard. I amsure a few would miss the game to fly one. Problem is when you do it all the time has to get boring. One thing I have learned from my time in the Navy when it comes to fighter pilots, they are always eager to get in the cockpit...but how many times do you get to fly over a big game like this one? can't ever get old
  11. I'm guessing we sell out against the run, and make him beat us in the air. Kind of like when Martinez hit conference play in 2010.
  12. I may be wrong, but I believe that in order for it to be a catch he has to carry possession, as much as I would of love it for it to be called a catch, it wasn't.
  13. a crazy awesome game with nebraska winning in awesome fashion
  14. So what was Solich? Ranks right behind TO in win percentage, and they fired him after 3 decent seasons. You might be able to say that you could see that he wasn't going to be an effective coach, but most of us will chalk it up to the two unmentionables.
  15. Granted TO inherited a better team then Bo did, and granted TO pretty much ranked in the 10 his whole career, he still only won his 3 NC's in his final 4 years. Does our new AD give Bo that long if he were to routinely end the year ranked? Would Bo even get booted for going 10 or 15 years without winning one? I would like to think no, but with the way the coaching landscape is I just don't see a coach sticking around for 10 years without winning NC's. Nebraska is kind of a different place though. What do you guys think?
  16. Where is this coming from? We've played some 3-4 this year, yeah, Did I miss a statement or something?
  17. Not 100% sure we could handle 3 extra years of Martinez. I could be wrong, but right now, just not sure
  18. I know Houston Alexander is probably the most famous MMA fighter from Nebraska, but what credibility does he have when it comes to football. I guess everyone can have an opinion.
  19. I was actually looking for this picture! Thanks! back to the article. Burkhead runs more with less carries
  20. Four Verticals from the Diamond formation utilizing Cotton coming across the middle, and Reed burning the line backer.
  21. I bet this topic will be posted 14 times this year
