  1. Apparently we're wearing those new Kanye "Yeezy" cleats this weekend.

Forget about yeezy.....what the hell is a Kanye?

  2. This ties into my opinion that primary schools (elementary through HS) have turned into nothing more than large-scale babysitting operations rather than places of learning.
  3. A win with no major screwups, and the backups in by the middle of the 4th.
  4. Did we run any 3 man Dime fronts against Oregon? Seems like I remember a couple times - just because I seem to remember seeing a NT lined up out there - but I'd have to watch it again to know for sure. Yes we did. Did they walk Reed up to a LB or did they stick with the Newby/Young combo they have been using?
  5. Well that's just not true at all.
  6. Tommy was clocked anywhere from 4.5 to 4.7 during his recruitment. With training, weight gains and lifting, he's probably somewhere in the 4.6 range.
  7. Yep, the sea of red will invade Evanston, but blend in well with other red Cardinal fans at the Wrigley Cub game, and Kirkwood, before the night game at Ryan Field. Will be a tough one for NU to beat UNL who is on a roll after Oregon, maybe for the Western B10 title. But the Purple did beat the Red at year at Lincoln. We'll see. There is only one NU and they wear RED Calling Nebraska "NU" is a giant misnomer, because the university isn't known as "Nebraska University". Whereas, Northwestern's title is "Northwestern University".
  8. Yea, that's not a crazy stat for anyone who's paid attention to how both Nebraska and Oregon have played so far this year.
  9. You were looking at the cheerleaders, admit it. I kinda wish they would have been doubled-up too, although that female journalist was nice to look at twice.
  10. Also, if you look towards Southwest stadium, you can see the point where the camera starts and stops the picture. Unless there are a pair of identical-twin journalists who decided to dress the same.
  11. Look right at Oregon's sideline, towards the right side of their huddle, about the 48 yardline in the green and black striped shirt.... Is that Dana Altman?
  12. Did we run any 3 man Dime fronts against Oregon?
  13. We are a better team, yes, but Gerry hasn't played anywhere near his potential. It's starting to come around, but he still has deficiencies that keep him, even with his numbers, from being mentioned with the great secondary players in school history.
  14. Freshman Pierre Allen was pretty good. Not sure what happened after that, but his production ramped way down. Seemed to be more or less the same story with Meredith and Turner. Wasn't Turner a Freshman AA?
  15. If you listened to the post game locker room show on AM 590 the players really talked up Prukop. The guy ran really tough and played a good game. Oh, absolutely agree. He's an excellent quarterback. I came away very impressed with Prukop.
  16. One of these coaches does not belong in this sentence. Only one of them buys his khakis at Wal-Mart?
  17. Other than Randy Gregory, what Husker DE has played better than Dzuris in the last decade? (I know it's only a 3 game sample.) Adam Carriker, Eric Martin and Pierre Alien, IMHO. And maybe even Zach Potter. All those guys were pretty good. I'd guess that any of those first three would start on this team. Don't get me wrong. I love me some Ross Dzuris. He plays smart, doesn't get pushed around. But he's a bit slow of foot on those outside running plays, and when the QB tucks and runs. Carriker would be an AA, Martin was only a pass rush specialist; he played much better at his natural position of LB, Allen never met an edge he could actually set, and Potter, at least IMO, was vastly underrated. If Barry Turner would have played at his Freshman year potential his entire career, that D-line would have been scary.
  18. That defensive stat b/w Iowa and Nebraska is amazing, given we played Oregon and they played NDSU (no disrespect intended; I love the Bison).
  19. Their takes on Prukop are amazing, considering his final 2 were Oregon and Alabama.
  20. The QB draw may go away, but our screen game should improve. We're already making headway in it.
  21. Run a lot of OZ, and build on that with RPOs, particularly in the Zone Read game. Get NW to put 7-8 in the box and give Tommy the opportunity to keep making great reads in the passing game.
