  1. Isn't this a trait we want in most Defensive players? Right? I'd rather have guys in the right place/right time than otherwise. Ross has been VERY solid this year. Far better than I thought he would be playing. I think we all want our guys to be in the right place/right time. However, I think we all want guys who are "super talented" AND be in the right place/right time. Ross is doing the best he can, and that's solid. But, long-term if NU wants to be back to championship football, NU needs better talent at DE. I don't disagree. But he's underrated for doing that aspect of his job, when we have had D-ends in the past that haven't even been able to play their position well enough to do that. Especially a walk-on with a bitchin mustache.

OH HECK YEAH! RILED UP AND READY

  4. Pretty sure he was a betamax & HD DVD guy too... Little known fact: he was an early investor in DeLorean, too.
  5. If you weren't rocking a Nebraska Starter jacket in the 90s, you weren't cool.
  6. I am good with our traditional uniforms but when looking at what Nike has done for Oregon, I would have liked to been in their Shoes! Pun intended. Recruits appear to like the options that Nike has done for Oregon. That's all I am sayin! Recruits are coming around to Adidas. They've done a much better job of marketing lately, and don't underestimate the impact that Adidas' apparel contract with Kanye West can do.
  7. There wasn't an error. We could have been a big fish in Adidas' small (now larger) pond, or a small fish in Nike's large (now HUGE) pond.
  8. I'm #ThreeStripeLife, so this is a good story for me.
  9. Anyone still playing around with this? There's supposed to be a new update coming down the pipe, but the developers are being slow with the release.
  10. It's game time. Rub some dirt on it and let's go!
  11. It's been UCLA for awhile; he's been using Nebraska to hang out with his friends.
  12. He's going to have to blow up super-huge to get one of those offers.
  13. Aside from what we learned about the football team, I learned how classy of a program Fresno State is. I'm certainly going to be pulling for them the rest of the season.
  14. I was at the very first game the tunnel walk was used, UCLA Sept. 17, 1994. That was the first season with the replay screens and the tunnel walk. Me too. Gameday crew was there, and I remember the student section calling out Corso and Herbstreit on the sidelines until they came over and acknowledged the section (to much cheering). I thought for sure Tommie was going to win the Heisman after that game... then the blood clot. Maybe you're thinking of Craig James? Herbstreit didn't start on GameDay until '96.
  15. TO admitted at BRB this morning that he didn't know enough about Pelini's character when he hired him.

I get what you are saying but I don't care what he does or says. I only care if he wins. I am not looking to be his friend, he is not a role model for me or anyone I know. Just like I don't care what Bo said or did, didn't impact me at all.

With that said, I have had guys on my staff that were a$$hole$, that impacted me because it was on my staff and I had to deal with it.

I have no standards for Riley when it comes to what he says or does...

I think we're on the same page, but arguing about apples and oranges. Seems you figure that out.

I dont care either. But that dont matter. Cuz he is.

Come on teach.... There is more to the game than only winning. Sure it's one of the most important things but there are standards and other things matter.

  16. Kinda wish they had gone for the 3-D
  17. Going to my nephew's game in Sioux City in the afternoon, then watching the 'skers at night.
  18. This is excellent. Much, much better than the original article.
  19. Having the team vote for captains comes down to little more than a popularity contest. We'll know who's leading the team when we see it on the field.
  20. 6 hours and 20 min from Omaha Dang...Husker fans would be all over that road trip. Right, because all Husker fans live in Omaha.
  21. IF he's gone, it's not a big hurt for this year. He, at very best, would have been 5th on the depth chart; more than likely 6th. It does hurt the future a little bit, particularly since we're losing 3 key seniors. Luckily, we've been killing it in WR recruiting.
