A lot of respect for Naomi Osaka. More emphasis needs to be placed on mental health. Hopefully she wins her battle.

I don’t remember this play. Great story about the game.

Turned in my resignation at work yesterday. 13 years. Feels weird.

Draft Day just got a lot more interesting:

One year ago today the Covid pandemic started to really hit home for most Americans. Travel bans, school closings, the end of sports... just everything we've known gone in a few days. I got Covid in January and still can't smell, and can barely taste. Otherwise, the year has been boring, but not too awful. Just very different. I hated the football "season" we had, and volleyball in spring seems weird.
How has the past year treated you? Everyone getting through this OK?

@The Dude wish I would have thrown more in.

Yes we did/do count it as a flu
death if you have the flu and die from complications, but it's complicated because many people don't get ill and seek treatment as soon as they would with COVID so they no longer test positive.
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/faq.htm
QuoteWhat are seasonal influenza-related deaths?
Seasonal influenza-related deaths are deaths that occur in people for whom influenza infection was likely a contributor to the cause of death, but not necessarily the primary cause of death.
I don't understand the point of this skepticism. You just said it's extremely deadly. COVID causes a number of complications that ultimately lead to death, and comorbidities contribute to the severity of the disease as well. People with COVID can develop a multitude of complications from pneumonia, blood clots, renial issues, heart problems, organ failure, etc. Those all count as COVID deaths.
Let's say the number were exaggerated by 4 times. That's still almost double the average deaths in a normal flu season.

@NUance buddy, less than 800 people have died from SARS since 2002. COVID is less sever but more contagious, and didn't "died out" like SARS did.

Remember when people were calling for the Nebraska basketball coach to be fired after a 22-win season?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.

@JJ Husker we were good a couple time. We got some chips.

Am I the only person here not really happy for Suh?

I've never really paid attention to Tom Brady. AFC guy, nothing to do with the NFC North, good but kind of "whatever."
But as a totally disinterested football fan, I have to admit that dude is an all-time legend, and perhaps the best QB in NFL history.
Really hard to argue against that, no matter how you feel about him.

@B.B. Hemingway Hahahhahahahaha! Oh God, that was a good one.
Brady has helped more Huskers get a Superbowl ring than any other person in history. Suh, David, Davis, Rex, Dennard, Hochstein, and Eric Martin. Can we count Woodhead too?

@teachercd hard to say seems like New England basically sold out for a SB run then a team rebuild. Obviously Tom wasn't down for the last half of that.

Congrats on making the national news for not being able to drive in the snow Husker nation!

Wonder if this means Urban will never coach in college again.
