  1. You care to elaborate because we haven't seen him on the field yet? He's certainly got the physical stature.
  2. No conference games hardly mean anything as it is, because hardly anyone schedules real opponents. When I said head to heads I was talking about non conference play. So you wouldn't have teams playing each other a second time. Non conference will never have any significant meaning unless you keep the human element of the eyeball test in the selection process.
  3. I find he annoying as sh#t. He's a basketball announcer calling football games. Football games with basketball scores. It works. That's some pretty stout D for a basketball score.
  4. Probably lol. I like how they had to español it up and put an accente over the i.

  6. It's not even technically a penalty is it? It was just a really cheap and dirty play. I guess he apologized for it, but it was still cheap and totally unnecessary. Bret will get his one day, coaches don't forget too easily.
  7. Does anybody actually even watch that show anymore?
  8. No kidding, that's where as a coach I no longer care if you get 15 yards. Heck you can get yourself thrown out of the game because at that point it didn't matter. But have some pride and protect your teammates. Things get dirty on the line, and if I were an offensive linemen again I'm running over there and shoving that guy away from Taylor and getting in his face, and telling him if he so much as thinks about doing that again I'm going to take his ass out and he won't see the field for 6 months.
  9. Didn't see a comments section, my Spanish isn't the best, anyone else see it. Always curious to see international perspectives.
  10. This is about the most uniformed post I’ve ever read. It's sad that you believe this stupid sh#t. While I don't necessarily agree with everything krc said, this is by far the stupidest post in this thread. I can't believe you typed this sh#t out. Thank you for contributing absolutely nothing. Love the first line of the Sam's article! "INDIANAPOLIS — Such a lovely city for an autopsy."
  11. Did not... see that one... coming...

  12. Didn't Georgia fans want to fire Richt not too long ago?

If 'Bama keeps running on them like this, they'll fire him before Richt gets back to the team bus...

  13. That was Wastson's offense. I think we've had some staggered backfields this year with the RB behind Taylor and a FB alongside him. I think we are a little more power with a spread element than when we were in 2010. I think Beck would rather have an extra blocker than another running back in shotgun.
  14. Was that a night game, I can't remember going even though I was sober. But if it was that was probably the one I was thinking of awhile back where my feet literally hurt walking back because it was so cold. Never felt like that before or since.
  15. Boy if you watched game day you'd have no idea the B1G has a championship game tonight.

I just watched the last hour and a half and they just covered it during the selection. Guess I shouldn't stay out so late...

It's being aired on Fox. Sooooo ESPN has no interest in "advertising" it

I'm sure the same teams playing each other again in a week has something to do with the attendance as well.
  18. I think it's good, and even healthy, to be emotionally invested in a positive way (letting loose, yelling and shouting, supporting your team) but really does you a disservice to get too invested negatively. There are more important things in life than sports, so let's enjoy the enjoyable and brush off the less than ideal. Go big red. It's like dating, I just didn't want to spill my guts and get burned again. It's happened too many times before. I'm a pretty reserved guy anyways, that doesn't mean I don't know how to have a good time, I just pride myself on being level headed. At least now I do anyways... But I just feel like this team is on the cusp of something big. And like the teams before them under Bo they have been laying a solid foundation and tomorrow night we could finally be climbing out of the basement.
  19. Ever since UCLA game and especially Ohio State I've tried not to get too emotionally invest in these games, but now I'm really struggling to do that. I just want to let loose and yell and shout and watch the 'skers kick ass! Don't let me down boys!
  20. No that's what Fox News, the Catholic Church, and some Republicans made it about to begin with. And then the extremist did as Carl said above.
  21. I wish I could find a video clip, but I feel like Blackburn in Back Hawk Down. Clicking his carabiner, "Excited. In a good way."
  22. I think if you honestly want to keep the integrity of every game counting in the regular season you need to limit the field to conference champions and take into account head to head match ups, if any, between selected teams. But the pool should never expand beyond 16 teams. Really it shouldn't expand past the number of conferences but then you have the independents and some scheduling problems due to the numbers. No one would ever go for it because of logistics and how bizarre it would seem, but some kind of fluid hybrid post season that can adjust to the year would really be best to keep integrity intact and find a true champion.
  23. Wait a minute . . . you think the Democratic Party chose a fight over contraception? You know they did. Obama and Sabelius (sp?) HHS secretary demonized the Catholic church for not wanting to be forced to pay for contraceptions under obamacare. At a mock hearing on Feb. 23, Nancy Pelosi invited Fluke to testify in support of the Obama administration’s decision to have insurance companies pay for contraceptives for employees at religious-affiliated institutions. . Darrell Issa who chaired an earlier hearing, said Fluke was not qualified to speak because she was not a member of the clergy. But Fluke was a set up to become the poster girl for Obama in the campaign - the gal who could not afford the $9/mo contraceptives. Then we have ABC moderator setting up Romney with a 'got you' guestion in the debate. Obama's who women's compaign centered around this issue, while Romney pointed out how women lost so many jobs under Obama in comparrison to men. You realize not all BC cost $9/month, and there are plenty of other medical uses for BC other than controlling pregnancy. Which is what miss Fluke was testifying to. Why should the church be allowed to deny someone the right to have preventative care simply because they deem it against their religion, when in reality that person isn't using it in violation of the religion's views?
  24. I said MULTIPLE times in my post that I want to eliminate the NEED for abortions. Sorry if your reading comprehension is bad. Easy now, carl has a point even if it is a bit pedantic. I think he's just pointing out your ethnocentrism. You believe that people think they NEED to kill babies, but in reality sometimes there is a justified medical reason to have an abortion. You may not have intended to say it but you are basically wanting to suppress people's thoughts, or convert them to your beliefs.
  25. That was a great game despite the loss, and you experienced true Nebraska weather changing on a whim. Cloudy, sunny, snow, sun/snow, then sunny again.
