  1. How in the hell are some of you saying that Armstrong doesn't posses a strong arm? The guy has a rocket and probably the strongest arm we've seen on this team in a while. Flat out ridiculous and just a way to downplay the kid.
  2. Everyone gave me crap about how I thought nobody was going to touch Armstrong because of his ability and leadership. When I watched his HS film and he said he was going to lead Nebraska to a BCS championship, I knew he was the guy for the future. We are not there yet obviously but I want him leading this football team for the next 3 years.

I agree, Armstrong could prove to be tough to bring down.

Sorry Knapp. You know me I hardly ever know what I'm talking about. I may have missed your point, wouldn't be the first time. Now as far as Internet boasting, I think I've done it, I'll probably do it more if the Huskers kick some ass this year. I didn't agree with the entire comment from Vince, but I get where he's coming from. There's a small legion of people here I think don't want TA to succeed.

Why? I have no idea. I didn't think Martinez was a great Qb, but I never wished him to fail. As you said tough, this has nothing to do with the players or Martinez.

  3. They're going to be pretty salty. It seemed that the only thing holding some guys back was youth and comfort. I'm sure most of that confusion is gone. Remember, there will be guys coming in during the summer that will push for time. I expect Walton and King to be thrown in as speed rushers on 3rd down to go along with Randy. I also wont be surprised to see Trai Mosely push for time as well.
  4. I was going to say but looks like I was beat to it. Bulls on Parade.
  5. He will be cut later in the recruiting year because Saban will find someone he thinks is better and then this kid will be scrambling to find another school in January. Poor guy doesn't know what he is in for.
  6. While I do want Armstrong because I believe he has it, I would like to see Nebraska use Stanton like Florida used Tebow when Leak was running the show. What do you think?

Whoever gets us in the endzone is aces in my book. Ive got a hunch it will be Stanton.

I would use him like cody green

  7. I want to throw a name out there that I believe will make a big leap for next year and thats Kevin Maurice. Also for everyone wanting Stanton, I only see Tommy getting much better from here.

I just hope Bo doesn't put the blinders on and stick with one QB no matter what.

  8. Also plays wr or flex TE. He looks good there too.
  9. There's enough to be excited for and the talent infusion should improve our team.
  10. The feel of it would've been different without them.
  11. What can SC possibly sell at this point? money? false hopes? strippers? screw them
  12. This koolaid tastes the best within the past 7 years.
  13. There's something different. The feeling and mood is different. There's something brewing in Lincoln, Nebraska. They say that in order for someone to change or truly see the light, they have to hit rock bottom first. Bo and his staff hit rock bottom this past year. Nebraska came out in the bowl game and were aggressive, a sight we long urged for. Bo was asked about how to contain Georgia's second half fury, he replied, "we are going to come out and make a statement of our own". That fired me up. That was the honest and candid Bo we all wanted to hear. The same mistakes that reared its ugly head game after game decided to disappear against Georgia. The team looked closer than ever during that game, even more so than the hailmary. I know, its one game but there was something different. Lets look at our recruiting effort. Our staff went from passive aggressive to balls to the wall. All of the sudden we have elite recruiters on our staff (garrison, kaz, warren, fish, etc) and Bo has become a closer to be reckoned with. The type of athlete now is night and day compared to the first three classes. We all drink the koolaid when everything has been forgotten and the unknown of a new season is upon us. Still, with that said, there is momentum. Not the momentum we saw after the 09 pummeling of Arizona, where an identity crisis in philosophy was soon to follow. It's the type of momentum that has left turmoil, conflicting philosophies, poor roster management, and uncertainty in the dust. Not the type of momentum that rests the future in the hands of Jay Guy, Donovan Vestal, Tobi Okuyemi, etc. They say that its always going to get worse before it gets better and the way I see it, the time has come where the sleeping giant takes back what's rightfully theirs. Nebraska doesn't stay down. It's purely a college football science. Decades of pure excellence has proved it over and over again. We see the flashes and now its time to knock the door down. I type this not asking for your approval but just to acknowledge it. I couldn't be more excited for an upcoming season. Go. Big. Red.
  14. DO NOT underestimate this class, forget rankings and stars. Might be the first big class to finally pan out 80%.

There seems to be a lot of quality in this class. Filled quite a few holes so next years small class can focus on the last few gaps.

  15. hahaha he has that glossy eyed look to him.
  16. Forget the rankings. This class is good and can go against the best in the country. Don't believe me? Look at the offers these kids have.
  17. I hope we load up on all these kids and let the cream rise to the top. The talent here is going to be ridiculous after the 2015 class. Nebraska will be loaded. Its going to be all about mentality from there.

They need to see and feel real success. Even the coaches do. Georgia is a good start. This team has momentum. Kick Miami's ass and this team will begin to see it.

  18. that twitter handle, is me hahaha haha I thought it was a logical convo between you and Schaefer. I had a lengthier convo with nate clouse that night as well
  19. that twitter handle, is me hahaha
  20. I'd have to believe that his current set of courses weren't enough or there was a few that couldnt transfer. He probably felt that nebraska didnt care enough to bend the rules for him to get in. oh well.
  21. He dominated Terrance Alexander. Had more than 100 yards going against him,
  22. I love this get. Everyones 40's at the SPARQ is bad. Not many kids truly run a 4.4. This kid is big and will fill out nicely. Nebraska did their hw once again and now we should all get ready to see the typical texas tech, baylor, arkansas, and tcu offers come through.
