  1. I will never stop supporting the Huskers, will love them til the die I die, but the reality is we are an average program and after 15 years of this it's hard to think differently. i just don't see us returning to the elite level. Makes me very sad.
  2. I totally agree. I have been at games many times where there is an injury or a call that I am not aware of until I get home. It's great to check my phone and know what happened right away.
  3. I don't want to jinx anything, but I feel like we have turned the corner and I do think we beat Iowa.
  4. Even with the frustraton of this season we fans continued to fill the seats. The sellout streak is amazing and I hope it never ends. From the Forde Yard Dash: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/forde-yard-dash--10-games--and-predictions--for-a-true-separation-saturday-083715192-ncaaf.html
  5. From Lee Barfknecht's column today (11/9): http://www.omaha.com/huskers/barfknecht-post-upset-party-could-rekindle-husker-fans-energy-for/article_467a2b53-f9cb-5a40-905a-23270a18b270.html
  6. I sure hope you're right, but I have a very bad feeling about the future of NU football.
  7. Yes, most every team has gone through a down cycle, but they come out of it. Our's has been going on more or less for 15 years.
  8. I just finished reading this on Twitter. He did a great job and wrote with passion. I want to agree with what he said about moving backwards in order to move forward, but I just don't know at this point.
  9. Can we all just agree that we aren't going to do this anymore? Canning Pelini, justly, and hiring Riley are two different things. One was a correct decision, and the other was not. I completely agree with you on the canning Pelini / hiring Riley thought. It drives me crazy when people act like we had to fire Pelini or hire Riley. We had lots of options as far as who we hired, but apparently didn't look at any of them.

  11. He won't resign and the fans won't stop going to the games and the administration knows that. We're stuck.
  12. If you're a bad fan than I am too.
  13. Every Husker fan who buys tickets, buys the gear, loses sleep over losses, has a right to be unhappy. The administration let us down and our beloved program, and at this point I don't see us being relevant for many years to come.

  15. I agree with you and wish he was at UNL right now. I think having someone with his experience as a Husker and now with his experience as an athletic director he would have us moving in the right direction.
  16. Review of uniforms this week, including our alternates. http://247sports.com/Bolt/Best-and-worst-of-college-football-uniforms-from-week-8-40577427
  17. I know many wanted Tressel last time and maybe hope he will be in the mix if and when Riley is fired, but I don't want an old recycled coach. Here's a tweet from Joel Klatt that was posted earlier this evening... @joelklatt: With all of the vacant coaching positions in CFB I am sure that Scott Frost will start getting some run...He is a great young coach.
  18. I don't know where to post this, but I read this tweet from Joel Klatt just after the latest college football coach was fired and I thought it was interesting... @joelklatt: With all of the vacant coaching positions in CFB I am sure that Scott Frost will start getting some run...He is a great young coach.
  19. The Greatest Fans in College Football continue to fill that stadium every single game. We buy the gear, we donate to the program. We have every right to voice our concerns and even bitch when we think the promgram is headed in the wrong direction and not being managed properly by those who are paid big bucks to do so. we have had 15 years of average football and have been no where near the top of the mountain, yet we continue to fill the stadium, which I think is amazing and speaks to how much this program is loved and cherished. And in my opinion we need an A.D. Who has the passion and a coach who gets it. We need people with Nebraska ties.
  20. The truth is we hired an elderly coach with a losing record, who was more than likely going to be fired from his last job. Our cherished program is circling the drain and no one with the power to fix it cares. I like Riley the man, but not the coach.
  21. It's been an up and down week emotionally when it comes to Husker football, but I do think we get a win this week and things start to turn around. Go Big Red!
  22. those of you going to the Northwestern game - are you wearing black for the alternate uniform game or sticking with red?
  23. I agree that Riley is a good guy, but I also agree that we can and should fire him after one season.
  24. We hired the wrong coach, no way around it. And I think it hurts not having someone on the staff with NU ties. No one with experience of Husker success. Harbaugh knows that Michigan can win, he experienced it and can pass that onto his team.
