  1. Rose was questioning SC this morning on KFAB about Barnett not being happy. Callahan said it didn't have any legs that he was aware of. Anybody know anything about this?
  2. Anybody who is watching them play this year knows this team's tackling compared to last year's tackling is 80 - 90% better. They just have problems getting to the QB and coverage. Gerry is a horrendously bad open field tackler. He was last year, and it has carried over this year. Not to mention he turns his hips more than a bunny ranch employee when he is in coverage.
  3. I agree....... Watson sucks, Beck sucks, and of course Langford sucks. What an idiot trying to throw the ball when they load the box and sell out. He should know Ryker has never started and should have strategically planned 12 throws for him. When they were down 20+, he should have gone to zone read. Also, a screen pass is the same thing a bomb down field. Charlie McBride sucked at one time too. The team is suffering injuries of epic proportions. There is little team speed. We don't control the the LOS on offense. The worst part is it is really pretty simple. What do you get when you take away #4, #8, #15 and #80?......2015. Im not saying Riley is the guy, but I am saying that it is almost impossible to fairly judge.
  4. But why does the record have to dictate whether or not the talent is on the field? Is it because the talent is not there or because this staff has coached down the talent?
  5. Last year we had the following: First Team: Kenny Bell and Randy Gregory Second Team: Ameer Abdullah and Malik Collins I'd say Collins is the only lock for First/Second Team. Is it because of coaching that we only have one? Is it because of injuries? Do we not have the talent?
  6. I know the last guy at Houston was a dud, but didn't Briles and Sumlin both bring them into the top 25 and go undefeated for a while? It's not like it hasn't been done before.
  7. Wrong. It took one year. We were NEVER this bad in many years...and we will never get much better with this coaching staff. I really feel bad for these players... You're wrong. This has been building for years. Getting pushed around twice by the Jacks of South Dakota State. The hail mary joke over Northwestern. The worst Special teams in the country for several years. A miracle win over McNeese. Losing to Iowa after being +3 in turnovers, but able to squeak out a win in OT. Getting pushed around at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. A liability taking snaps a QB for almost a decade now. And this is the attitude that brought us here. 9 wins isn't good enough, fire the 9 win coaches! Which leaves us with sub mediocre coaches who were about to get canned by the Beavers. (BTW, we had the top ranked special teams in the country last year. http://espn.go.com/college-football/statistics/teamratings/_/year/2014/sort/stEfficiency/tab/efficiency ) I wasn't referring to last year. DPE, who really didn't come in and take over until game 2 or 3, literally won games. Bo started this dumpster fire, but it appears as though Riley may be pumping gasoline on it.

A liability taking snaps a QB for almost a decade now. We were a fringe top 25 team for the last 7 years, and now we're a bottom 25 team. And your comment about the "worst special teams in the country for several years" is unequivocally false. Before DPE we couldn't field a punt. Every team flipped the field on us punting. I don't remember if it was 2012 or 2013, but the team averaged something like 3 yards per return. No one keep these stats so it will be impossible to prove, but around that same time we had one of the worst kick off defense teams in the country. I'm thinking it was in Bo's 2nd-3rd year when the defense was really thin. Nearly every drive started past the 35. There have been strong individual efforts (Henery and DPE) but I'm positive that at times we had one of the worst efforts in punt returning and kick off defense for multiple years.
  9. I think the comparison is fair. Bo left this place a disaster and it's going to take some time. WSU has been getting worked for years. I like Leach and I'm glad he is doing well.
  10. I have pretty good history of making fun of everyone that wants Scott Frost to be the head coach here. What you have posted is making me think about it.
  11. How bad would the fighting Cosby's of Temple destroy us?

  12. Could anyone take a program seriously that had three staffs on the payroll?
  13. Washington State is 5-2. When did that happen?

He's good. I can't believe it took another program that many years to hire him.

  15. It is interesting to see a team that is so bad, exploit the weaknesses of the Huskers. Purdue knew what they were going to do on offense: Short quick passes A lot of misdirection Setting them up for bigger plays downfield later in the game.
  16. 2007 to Oklahoma State was always the one that stung for me. I had that same helpless feeling watching this game.
  17. It's been this way for 3-4 years. The big play luck isn't there anymore and everyone wants heads. The have looked like this for years, but have been bailed out by 4-5 huge plays in the game.
  18. He was one of few positives in this game.
  19. He needs to run for congress or governor.
  20. I believe my original post even more after the loss today. Team has no depth and the o line looks the exact same as it has for years.
  21. I don't even have to look at the article, but i bet is the same LB that team have been trying to isolate a RB on a pass route all season.
