  1. Well duh. Now Beck gets lambasted because our defense is good Any average OC would score starting inside the opponent red zone multiple times. Even though Neb was tied for 3rd in the country in redzone scoring offense before this game...God...he sucks and so does NEBs offense...get a grip. Not every game is going to be immaculate. Landlord posted why people need to chill the f#*k out.
  2. I feel dumber reading some of the outlandish comments on this board....get a f'ing grip people. You're heisman candidate who is playing out of his mind goes down....and you bitch that we won 35 to 14. Go root for another team then. Things aren't perfect....but when you call for coaches jobs after this game, you have a f'ing problem. And many probably haven't played a down of football in their lives...

It's not just one game. It's four years worth of games.

I guess throwing to the wolves means winning. I agree with chaddy

We are winning liveforNU. We are beating 9 of the 13 teams on our schedule every season this way. Depending on what you believe Nebraska football should or shouldn't be capable of, we are doing great or not so great. I think we are talking about more than just win loss record after a game like this.

  3. Here's the negative I'll say....Cooper may need to sit along with Pelini at Center.

I don't mind Cooper that much because he is solid in run support....but a blunder like that on the TD can't happen...

It happens to any D....even good ones...I'm being picky on that one

I actually thought this was Coopers best game all season so far. I've been happy with him this game. Pelini at center though. Don't get me started.

After having Bo as your coach nothing should scare you

He should have held a team meeting saying we was under investigation for improper benefits and had to sit out indefinitely. That would scare the hell out of everyone.

  5. Why the hell do you pass that f'ing much with less than 5 minutes to go and with a 3 point lead....bleed clock. I don't care if you're run game isn't working well...

^exactly....it's like he hung his hat on that stat for some odd reason....not mentioning Neb has more talent than they have in the past on both sides of the ball and ST has improved greatly, specifically in the returning dept.

      JJ Husker

Yeah, the turnovers have to be light years better than the past and still predicting 4 losses.....that's going way out on a limb.

      mrandyk

A 4 loss season isn't way out on a limb at all. Loss to either Iowa/Wisconsin/Minnesota, loss in the CCG, loss in the bowl game. See 2012.

Yep, I was very surprised at how well done it was. And the mimics were phenomenal, especially at an IMAX or on a high quality, large TV.

  8. NEB will have to be more focused on both sides of the ball this week against "not your same ole" Purdue team.

      No. Purdue still sucks.

They are much better then they have been. But I expect us to take care of em.

  9. LSU jumps FSU. ESPN states that LSU 41 to 7 loss to Auburn was a "fluke." Ole Miss drops to #8.

LSU will be ~15, Ole Miss ~8, as they should be

      Question is....will LSU jump NEB?...

    3. MLB 51

      MLB 51

You know they will. Gotta keep those SEC teams as high in the polls as possible.

  10. I wouldn't say "roll," but I do agree with you, Sparty will win that game. I've been saying it after the Husker loss. Ohio st. Was on a roll because they hadn't played a solid defense. Their 2nd defensive test almost cost them another game.
  11. I think he knows what he has in this team this year....hence the more calm, cool and collected Bo...
  12. He's honestly been a lot more candid this year...saying a lot of good things...little less coach speak this year, that's for sure.If we lose again this season I bet it changes.I just think he is being a bit more honest this year I guess...And well, at least he is pointing out the obvious....in years past he hasn't done that.

  15. Good point Knapp. I didn't even think about the prior offense...
  16. And you definitely pose a point per our discussion. He called the prohormone, yellow jackets? Or black jackets? An ephedrine supplement holds or use to hold the name Yellow Jackets...
  17. Not saying Heldey's info. Is wrong...I got this information from a friend that talked with a former player who works with the team. See below: Took some prohormones that he ended up testing positive for HGH for....some supplements s can have similar chemical makeups to certain steroids and PEDs. Bo ripped into the nutritionist I guess bc he is suppose to have tabs on what all the guys intake. This prohormone wasn't suppose to have an HGH makeup, but it did and it cost Alexander. Kinda sad...how the hell is he suppose to know? Don't take any supplement such aa a prohormone next time...
  18. My take is that Tommy is inconsistent like many CFB QBs. Even Connor Cook has issues with foot placement and decision making from time to time. The negatives have been talked about ad nauseum. I'll give ya some positives: With all the pressure he was getting in the MSU game, he moved in the pocket fairly well at times to avoid a sack. The pass play of beauty came late in the 4th quarter when he threw that complete pass to Moore on the right side. He showed patience, stepped into the pocket and threw a beautiful ball in stride to Moore. Another positive instance occured when he made a nice read through his progressions with a first down pass on Pierson-El's long run off of a slant route in the NW game. He looked to his left, nothing there, looked to the middle of the field, boom! Tommy has made his fair share of solid passes thus far this year IMO.
