  1. Well this first set is something Also Stanford's band is annoyingly bad.
  2. Yeah, those stats mislead because we didn't really stop Minnesota from doing anything and went cold in the last 6-8 minutes.
  3. Also, let's not forget the emotion Minnesota was playing with too. That's worth something.
  4. Palmer had a pretty atrocious night. His lower scoring tonight was at least worth the difference.
  5. Conference game. I know it's Illinois and Illinois is 2-5 and on paper, Nebraska is clearly the better team. But it seems like, more than any other sport, college basketball has more crazy swings and unexpected results. Huskers can't afford to be looking past Illinois or not preparing for them with respect. Remember, we lost to them the last time we played them.
  6. I have a feeling that the education requirements for some positions may not be legally defensible. I don't know how you could guarantee that a degree is a bona fide occupational qualification (ie something absolutely necessary to do the job).
  7. The 2018 schedule featured 7 similar opponents as the 2017 schedule. Here are the differences in results: 2017: at Illinois, W 28-6 2018: vs. Illinois, W 54-35 Difference: -3 2017: at Purdue, W 25-24 2018: vs Purdue, L 42-28 Difference: -15 2017: vs. Wisconsin, L 38-17 2018: at Wisconsin, L 41-24 Difference: +4 2017: vs Ohio State, L 56-14 2018: at Ohio State, L 36-31 Difference: +35 2017: vs Northwestern, L 31-24 2018: at Northwestern, L 34-31 Difference: +4 2017: at Minnesota, L 54-21 2018: vs Minnesota, W 53-28 Difference: +58 2017: vs Iowa, L 56-14 2018: at Iowa, L 31-28 Difference: +39 From common opponents, Nebraska closed the gap so much on these teams in one season, with Illinois and Purdue probably being noise rather than the signal. I'm eager to see how much this team improves from Year 1 to Year 2.
  8. Colorado starts 5-0, finishes 0-7, misses bowl. HAHAHAHA

  9. It doesn't look promising for Milton. People are saying it's like Zach Miller, who had to have emergency surgery just to save his leg
  10. That's a pretty great pickup for Kansas. Happy for them, actually. It's been a long walk in the desert for them these last 10 years. Hope Miles can drag them out of it.
  11. Sparty doesn't have a QB or WRs. Plus they're more of a pro style team which we defend better against. Defense should look better against them than Illinois. Nebraska 31 Michigan State 20
  12. Stanley has been so good for us. The only thing that sucks is that he only has this year left.
  13. I don't for one second believe this was a win for the GOP because they reinforced their Senate majority. Chances are they were going to do that anyways - they could have done nothing (which they literally did) and gained more seats than Democrats simply because there were more Democratic seats up for grabs than GOP seats. That Cruz won was disappointing, but not surprising. This was a good night for Democrats as they now control the House and can provide oversight. But its up to House Dems to legislate, not just investigate. They can't afford to overplay their hand here. I will be interested to see the voter turnout, but I believe it was high, which is another good sign. People rarely turn out for the midterms so just wait until 2020.
  14. We left about 12 points on the field on 3 plays. Take those away and Nebraska snags a monumental upset. Theyve gotten so much better than they were at the start of the year.
  15. There were about 12 points of mistakes in that game (block punt safety, backward pass fumble, JD dropped pass that would have put us up 28-16).

Could have beat a Top 10 team on the road, but I'm proud of the team in this defeat, even if they may not be.

    1. TonyStalloni

      TonyStalloni

We did leave a lot of points on the field with bad decisions.  We knew that was probably what we were in for with a true freshman QB.  Good thing is, he should only get better as he learns when to throw it away, when to tuck it and run etc.

  16. GOP looking like itll lose the House in November
  17. Nebraska won. Iowa lost. Colorado lost. Kansas State lost. Missouri lost. And Texas lost.

    Good day for Nebraska
