  1. It's a run-pass play. For example, on the touchdown, Tommy read the defense and saw the overload to the right side. He determined the run was the better option. I really like the RPO's that Langsdorf has put in the offense this year. Tommy is able to make some good reads and decisions and can lead to big plays.
  2. I think Tommy gets way too much criticism on individual plays during the game. NU fans want to focus on the things that Tommy isn't great at. I didn't see the game thread but I am sure fans were upset with Tommy at times. QB's, especially college QB's are going to make mistakes. I like to see how the entire game plays out before making overall conclusions on a game/player. Tommy played great against Oregon and he led NU to the win.
  3. There were plenty of times where the 3 and 4 man rush flustered Prukop during the game. I think Banker did a good job a mixing rushes on Oregon today
  4. Prukop was pretty good running the ball, and had some good throws during the game. But, when he was pressured he made mistakes and poor decisions. Good job by the Blackshirts. They played just well enough to win.
  5. Today was a great win and great day to be a Husker. I have text message convos with my brothers during the game. During a play in the 3rd quarter, Prukop had a play action pass and you can hear he whole crowd yell "PASS!!!" We all thought that was pretty cool, having the crowd so invested and aware of the situation. The crowd never gave up and neither did the team. GBR!!!
  6. Earlier in the thread I said 31 points by Oregon could mean a NU victory. So, I was 1 point off. Thankfully Oregon went for 2 when they didn't need it after being successful the first time.
  7. Just off the top of my head, that backwards pass was his worst decision of the day. He should have thrown it out of bounds because the running back wasn't going anywhere on that play with three defenders there. Other than that, Tommy had a really good day imo. That was a bad play design. Why the RB is running sideways so it has to be a backwards pass I have no clue. Yes, Tommy didn't make a good throw, but it was a bad play design and bad play call at that point in the game.
  8. I still think it's ok to split carries, but Ozigbo should get the workload. Keeping him fresh for the 3rd and 4th quarter paid off. GBR!!!
  9. Ameer was ahead of him, as was Newby, Cross and others . Didn't he transfer 3 years ago. Yeah, but wasn't he a freshman then? He'd be competing with Newby now. You know guys don't look that far ahead. He went to NDSU where he knew he could get PT. It happens. I also think Frazier was a walk-on, so he went some place he could get on scholly.
  10. Yet most fans act like NU has a crazy gauntlet of tough games within the conference and division.
  11. Ameer was ahead of him, as was Newby, Cross and others . Didn't he transfer 3 years ago.
  12. ESPN doesn't control the message of the film. It all depends on how the film maker wants to portray the team. They are interviewing a number of Huskers from those teams to appear in the film. I think it will be more positive than negative. But they can't totally ignore the negative things the players were involved with at the time.
  13. WTF??? NFL has a partnership with Nike right now. Yeezy cleats are Adidas. That'd be my guess The NFL hasn't reviewed and officially approved the Yeezy's yet. That's why they are getting the fine. Shoes need to be reviewed and approved before players can wear them on the field. They can wear them, but they will get fined. If you wear anything but Nike as part of your uniform you will be writing a check. I'm sure most sponsors are picking these fines up so NBD. it has nothing to do that. The NFL is just tight assed and has a policy where the shoes must be standard colors and have a standard design. It's the same idea where teams can't wear multiple helmets in the NFL, despite there being no proof that changing helmets has any contribution to concussions. This. Individual football players can have any shoe and glove sponsorship deal. Ameer Abdullah and Aaron Rodgers both are sponsored by Adidas, while Cam Newton is sponsored with Under Armour. The NFL is just being pissy about the design of the Yeezy cleats. They are the NO FUN LEAGUE after all.
  14. WTF??? NFL has a partnership with Nike right now. Yeezy cleats are Adidas. That'd be my guess NFL only has an apparel partnership with Nike. The individual players can get shoe agreements with any manufacturer. The NFL does have standards and mandates on the colors or designs of what shoes can be worn during games.
  15. Dangit, I am an idiot with copying images into this site. There are Black and Red Yeezy's for Louisville being shown on Twitter.
  16. The Yeezy cleats have been banned by the NFL. No clue why, but it's a $6,000 fine for wearing them on Sundays.
  17. New TWOS is out for Oregon week. It is pretty good, not great, but some good one-liners in there. GBR!!!

  18. Last season of South Park when they dealt with political correctness and other hot topics was great, and the new season just started this week. I think those guys are great in the way they are able to make comedy about the current events and political environment. Plus, now they are making the series more serialized and how the episodes build off each other, instead of singular episodes.
  19. I'm not familiar with the ins and outs of betting. What does this mean?Sharps = professional bettors, aka not the "public" Thanks for the clarification. Where do you find % breakdown to tell who the public is betting on? I'm a fish for sports betting so I quit, but like to follow and pay attention to lines and action. I doubt that casinos and online gambling sites are going to let you know where the $ is being bet. It's mainly all done through rumors and how lines move during the week. EDIT: After Teach's post, I was totally wrong. I be stoopid.
  20. Its not about the jerseys to recruits. It's about all the swag/shoes/apparel that you get for wearing a jersey. And while I like Adidas, from a "cool" factor, Nike has some pretty awesome off-field gear for players. You have to understand that Oregon is an exception to all of this...what 'swag' stuff does Bama put out that we don't? A plain maroon shirt with an 'A' on it?? I know kids like these things but winning will always be top choice. Have you seen the hideous jumpsuits the players wear for the unity walk? Fine example. I think those are awesome.
  21. I want to take NU, but I just don't have the confidence to do so. Oregon 44 NU 31 NU Rush 180 NU Pass 265 Edited on Friday, 9/16. Upped the passing yardage a bit. I think NU wins if the D can hold Oregon to 30 points or less, but that's a big ask.
