RedDenver
IMO: Watson moves to OC and continues working with the TE's, Busch adds Recruiting Coordinator to his title, and Rich Gannon comes in as a QB coach (some rumors floating around indicating Gannon may be interested - just rumors). Hunter94
wow, Gannon would be a huge addition, if it were to happen Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
Isn't he from the West Coast anyways? Maybe he was getting closer to his family and what not. I am not too sad to see him leave. Having Gannon on staff would be another reason for top QB recruits to consider and sign with NU....at least since he was a NFL QB. I don't know how good of a coach he would be??? NevadaHusker27
Having Rich Gannon on the staff would be great. He had 4 straight pro bowl years and won the MVP when he played in the west coast offense under Callahan and would make a great coach and recruiter for quarterbacks. Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
I LOVE the idea of Gannon at QB Coach + other small roles. He has been around enough that kids out of HS still know him and have to respect him. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I have confidence in Callahan that whomever he picks will be the right candidate. Quote Link to comment
huskernumerouno
Gannon would be cool and so would some of the others mentioned. I will look forward to see who we get. Man they sure know how to break up the off season and give us message board material. Quote Link to comment

Big Red Cop
One is already on campus, one is a Nebraska boy that loves NU, and the other just cancelled his Alabama trip this weekend to stay 100% solid for NU. All three are no worries. Quote Link to comment
husker rob
that is good news  i do like the rumors of Gannon as a position coach. I never liked the idea of a tight end teaching a qb but what do i know Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
Another rumor that has sprung up is Watson to OC/QB and Eric Roark to TE/RC. Roark is a coach at SMU: bio Quote Link to comment
roadrat
I wish someone would have asked Norvell what he meant when he said "he was going to a program ready to make the next step"? Does he believe we're not? My question is why doesn't the Off. Coordinator call the plays at NU. I mean isn't that in the job description? What the hell is there to coordinate since every position has a coach and the head coach is calling the plays. Quote Link to comment

What the hell is there to coordinate since every position has a coach and the head coach is calling the plays. Coach Callahan has been described as a offensive guru and he has accepted that as true. He's not about to relenquish control of "his offense". I say the jury is still out on his ability. He has shown glimpses but is too inconsistant especially the later part of last season. NevadaHusker27
According to Journalstar Shawn Watson will be promoted to offensive coordinator with Callahan retaining play-calling duties. Quote Link to comment
