Best:

1. TO's 2nd NC and Tommie's great run.

2. "Schleshinger (please excuse my spelling if its wrong) inside the five..."

3. C~Bear's gonna be a Husker!!! My daughter will be a Husker Freshman in the fall of 2008.

Worst:

1. Jeff Smith dropping the 2 point conversion in the '84 Orange Bowl.

2. Having to play Oklahoma twice during the '79 season.

3. Dr. Tom Osborne stepping down as head coach.

Worst memory was the Texas loss 2 seasons ago

 

 

Best memory would be...probably right now, this new resurgence is an awesome feeling.

Best Moments:

 

1. Being at Fiesta Bowl with my dad watching the Florida beat down with Tommie's Run....NC

2. Being at Orange Bowl with dad, brother, friends to see TO's last game vs Tennessee...NC

3. Proposing to my wife while watching a NU practice at Memorial Stadium

 

Worst Moments:

 

1. Smith's dropped conversion from Gill (cried...8th grade)

2. Bennet's shank in NC game vs Florida State (cried... in college)

3. TO retiring....(cried....30-something....still crying today)

Watching Schleshinger get those two touchdowns against Miami in the 94 championship game

and Crouch's pitch and catch against oklahoma

The day when i found out that Berringer passed away, i know, not a game, but definitely worst husker memory

 

Being shutout by arizona St. back in the 90's

 

And anytime colorado won.

I heard of Brooke Berringer's un-timely passing on an early edition of Sports Center. My 15 year old son was asleep in his room and so I sat, watched him sleep, prayed for Brooke and his family and cried.

Winning the National Championship in 94

 

Being at the orange bowl for Tom's last game

 

 

Worst

 

Losing to Miami for the "83 championship, that team was freaking awesome

 

Losing to FSU for the "93 title

 

The first and the second time in my lifetime not making a bowl

Not sure if "dropped" is the term I'd use to describe the '84 2-point conversion miss. The d-back knocked it away before it ever reached Smith's hands. Just wanted to clean that up.

3. I think it was '83(?) when NU beat OU in Norman where Neil Harris (I think) tipped away a pass at the end to seal it.

3. I think it was '78(?) when Siimms fumbled at the end to seal it in Lincoln. I remember the awe I felt watching the fans rush the field. This is my earliest memory of Husker football.

 

Worst

1. The way many outside of NE find Osborne's image tarnished due to a perceived mishandling of Lawrence Phillips.

2. Hiring Callahan instead of Pelini or Gill. (Obviously this is an after-the-fact worst moment.)

3. The Disaster in the Desert (This wouldve been the '84 Orange Bowl, but the '94 and '95 seasons cured it.)

Best

 

1. How we won the Orange Bowl after the '94 season. I still get goosebumps remembering Cory's 2nd TD.

2. Fiesta Bowl after '95 season: the 2 sacks in a row where the first got Wuerffel just short of a safety and then on the next play...2 points!

3. Frazier outplaying Ward in Orange Bowl after '93 season.

 

Worst

 

1. Brook Berringer's death

2. Losing to FSU in the 1994 Orange Bowl. Cried when we missed the FG.

3. Losing to CU 62-36. It was clear then that the dynasty was over.

1. The passing of Brook Berringer

2. 1996 Big 12 Champ game against Texass 4th & inches

2. T.O.s first NC and the celebration at 72 and Dodge.

3. Destroying Bama in the Orange bowl after the 71 season.

 

Worst

1. The last 4 years.

2. Orange Bowl loss after the 83 season.

3. All the close losses to OU during the 70s and 80s (I know thats not a single thing)

1) The "Fumble-rooski" and laughing at my old man afterwards (he hated Nebraska with a passion)

 

Worst:

 

1) The "Fumble-rooski" and finding out my old man could still knock me down even though I was bigger than he was.
