Ohio Pete
Player: Chance Casey Hometown: Crosby, TX Position: RB Height: 5'11" Weight: 165 lbs. 40 time: 4.4 Visit Date: Scholarships offered: Nebraska, Iowa State, Baylor, TCU, Houston, Colorado State, SMU, and Utah Favorites: Nebraska is among his leaders Rankings/Stars: Rivals: :star 5.5 NR Big Red Report: :star #87 Assessing the talent: ESPN: Casey could develop into a good change-of-pace or scat-back type runner at the college level. Ideal for a zone-read or spread offense to better utilize his quickness in space. Hands and receiving skills out of the backfield add to his upside and versatility to play in the slot. More here. In Scout's article about him talks about how much he loved his visit (coinciding with the Junior Olympics in Omaha), and how Nebraska is among his leaders. Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 20%. Liked his visit and the opportunity to run track and play football. Quote Link to comment
Husker_freak774
If we could get any of the four RB's we're recruiting that would be great. The others are - David Oku, 5'-10", 186, 4.49, from Midwest City, Ok (Neb one of six remaining schools) Rex Burkhead, 5'11", 191, 4.5, from Plano, TX Bradon Wegher, 5'11", 190, 4.42, from Sioux City, Iowa (4-star, Neb 1 of at least 7 schools left) Any of these guys would be great to have once we don't have Lucky any more Quote Link to comment
chamrocck
Mods, this recruit should be moved into the 2009 forum...we have offered. Other programs offering are Iowa State, Baylor, TCU, Houston, Colorado State, SMU, and Utah. He is also a track star and would run track at NU. DeathCultArmaggedon
Thanks for the update. Looks as though he is a hurdler and high jumper. Shows nice ability in his highlight video: The play that begins at 0:28 is really legit. Great leg drive. Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
OK did pretty good in the Junior Olympics: Second in 110M hurdles and third in 400 M hurdles. There were ~40 young men (his division) entered in each event. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Looks like he breaks tackles. Let's get him N Quote Link to comment
Danimal
A burner like him could complement Brady Brown well. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
As well as push Oku away. Just saying... Quote Link to comment
Overland Park Husker
He's listed as an athlete. Anyone what position we're recruiting him for? Is it RB or possibly a DB? Quote Link to comment
Reebsker
As well as push Oku away. Just saying... If Oku qualifies. Always good to have a Plan B. Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
As well as push Oku away. Just saying... Oku apparently doesn't care about a team's current commits as he has Tenn and Florida State still on the list and they have some 4 RBs already committed. Michigan also has some 3 RB commits. More likely, other backs reconsider their commitment once Oku picks his team. Quote Link to comment
Danimal
As well as push Oku away. Just saying... I could be wrong but I really don't see him at rb, I'd say wr is most likely, that is why I thought he'd complement Brady Brown well. Quote Link to comment
husker rob
being recruited as an athlete, could play DB or reciever, or a "Scat Back" type player. would need to put on some weight to be a legit RB in D1 Quote Link to comment
