huskerhaze
There is a thread on allbuffs.com about sCUm maybe going to the PAC 10. This idea has floated around for at least a decade. My question....IF sCUm left (good riddance!!!), who would the Big 12 replace them with? Quote Link to comment
np_husker
I don't think it will ever happen, but if it did, maybe Wyoming would replace them? I would like to see a stronger program, but I don't know who that would be. Not a lot of schools in the Big 12 North area that could step in. Quote Link to comment
junior4949
This is just a hunch, but I'd think they'd replace them with another Texas school. We could see a team like SMU, TCU, Rice, etc. fill their spot. Then, they'd probably move either OU or Okie State up to the North. Quote Link to comment

I kind of feel that way too, but would really not like to see another Texas school in the Big 12. Quote Link to comment

I was gonna say TCU.. but you know IF that'd happen who i'd like to see? IOWA. I mean, come on.. thats a game we could adopt and take on as a TRUE rivalry.. plus, ISU is already in the big 12... the big 10 already has 11 teams... just makes sense, right? Quote Link to comment
billdozer15
BYU possibly. But i could see adding TCU or some other Texas school and bumping OU to the North Division. Quote Link to comment
hosker
id say iowa or illinois Quote Link to comment
np_husker
BYU would be a nice addition. Quote Link to comment
caveman99
id say iowa or illinois It obviously has to be a program that wants to move to the Big XII, Iowa or Illinois don't fit that mold. The Big X/Little XI, is a cushy conference to be in. National conference in exposure, a lot of revenue, no conference title game to worry about, etc. A Texas school or maybe someone like BYU might be interested. Quote Link to comment
Overland Park Husker
*IF* this happens they won't move OU to the North. Too much is made of the OU-Texas matchup. While we'd all like to NU-OU every year it just ain't going to happen. Quote Link to comment
holvy83
Utah would be a better fit, but I don't see why CU would join the Pac 10 doesn't make sense but what do i know Quote Link to comment
Cy the Cyclone
SDSU is moving to D-1 aren't they? Pretty convenient on the travel budget... Utah would be a good choice maybe? Or...just install Colorado State. They generally field the best college football team in that state anyway.... Quote Link to comment

illnino
I don't see why CU would join the Pac 10 doesn't make sense but what do i know I agree. I would think they would take a team like BYU or Utah, but like you said, what do I know. If they do take CU, I would hate to see another TX school in the Big 12, so I'd take Iowa, or possibly bring in Ark, leave OU in the South, and move OSU to the north. Quote Link to comment

Colorado really isn't going anywhere. Quote Link to comment
