blackshirts5115
i'd rather him commit to UCLA than have to wait another week or two Quote Link to comment
schuhbdoo
Is the announcement on ESPN or ESPNU? ESPN2 and ESPNU I think. ESPNU Quote Link to comment
sd'sker
Heard Owa just cancelled his ESPN announcement and will wait and decide over the next week or two. He is still just not sure where he wants to go and really wants to step back and go over everything again and weigh out everything accordingly. Heard this from "very reliable source." He is just a very deliberate young man and wants no doubt when he decides. This would be shocking, but compared to what everything else is saying is good news if true. This is something that actually wouldn't shock me if it were true. I cant take this anymore i hope that he is N today. But if it takes a couple more weeks thats cool as long as he goes where we all know he should! from these posts it sounds like he wants to go to NU but is scared to move that far away from home. I think his heart still lies at NU but is scared to be away from his family. it is the classic home sick delima. Agreed. I've felt all along that the distance factor is bigger for Owa himself than he's letting on. It is a tough decision for a family-oriented kid, but if he goes to Nebraska, he won't regret it. that doesn't make sense if he goes to UCLA, if you are over three hours away from home, it's all the same distance: a plane flight. True, however he would be playing in the Pac-10 and depending on the schedule would play in his home state possibly twice a year and also would play in Washington. So he would be closer for family to go watch. that is true and chicagohusker was right also, pac-10 probably feels more like home. i just really want to see him in red, isn't SUH the ultimate example of hard-to-pronounce named, portland defensive linebackers? that seems like a strong selling point. also, it seems like UCLA will always be second fiddle to USC, and even Cal. kchusker_chris
I love how he has to warn people not to fight in his status update. Some good comments in there as well... Josiah Payne - I hope Slick Rick doesn't potentially F up your future. Good luck Owa. Travis May - very mature josiah......perhaps nu's fans are part of the problem!!! Good luck OWA!!! Go Green!!! Jonathan Payne - Travis, Rick is very slick... I think we want him to make the mature choice and not go with a guy that has a proven record of being a scum bag. Josiah Payne - So mature of you to have facebook, being a balding old man, and making comments on an 18 year olds wall TRAV. Check out Rick's track record then get back at me, Beaver or Husker is fine with me. Quote Link to comment
North Alabama Husker
Owa this is the most important day of your life. You can come and put on a blackshirt and be a legend for all husker fans or you can play in the sand at ucla and never realize your potential. Oh yeah you could also walk around wearing stuff saying your a beaver all the time. Personally I would pick being a legend. Quote Link to comment

JTrain
I'm never listening to people's inside info again. How many people said Owa was 100% N a week ago? Is anyone actually aware of what 100% means? It means there is NO chance whatsoever or something else happening. It's looking increasingly likely Owa won't go to Nebraska, which is what happens 99% of the time when a top 100-type recruit keeps Nebraska on his list until NSD. It doesn't matter how great Bo is. Nebraska is Nebraska is Nebraska and there are just inherent issues to overcome with location that we can't get around. This class looks decent with the addition of Cooper, but the one guy everyone obsessed over looks likely to choose against us, just like all the other ones like him over the past decade. 1 Quote Link to comment

Husker N KC
Ok, end of the 4th quarter. We should all be on our knees holding hands and praying for the kick to sail into the posts, but if it doesn't the other team celebrates and we move on to next year... we will be ok either way, just a lot more happy if all goes well!
