mattbri17
I just want to see him comeback 100% and not have a Hey situation on our hands by trying to get him out there before he's ready. He has a lot of promise AND he's only a frosh. 3 more years...nice! Quote Link to comment
MUTigerFan
Serious question: Why is Pelini so closed-mouthed about injuries? No one even knows if Rex broke a bone, had turf-toe, whatever. For 2-3 weeks he's been saying Helu is just fine (except he can't seem to stay on the field) The Mizzou coaching staff ALWAYS goes into detail about injuries, and I think they're doing the right thing. knapplc
MUTiger, it's as simple as "they are different coaches." Belichick is famous for being closed-mouthed about everything inside the Patsies locker room. Bo is, apparently, borrowing a page from that book. It sucks, but there's not much we can do about it. None of us like it, either. Quote Link to comment
the one that got away
it sucks that burkhead got hurt... would be getting so much playing time and experience with helu banged up, not to mention our coaches wouldn't be so gung ho to send helu in to the game with his shoulder, o and dontrey robinson probably would still be redshirting... son of a bitch typing that just pissed me off Quote Link to comment

I think it was discussed on another thread that it might be a HIPPA violation to discuss player injury without player consent. It's a gray area, as yet undefined by case law. The best thing you can say is, it might violate HIPAA. Coaches are not interested in giving too much information and being the first one sued under the law. What's stupid is that you could probably avoid all this by establishing an Injury Report that all teams have to feed into, and having the players sign a medical waiver when they sign their Letter of Intent. Pretty silly, really. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
That would be awesome to have Burkhead back by Colorado, but only if he is 100%. I would love to see him run all over CU now that Darrell Scott has left the program . Quote Link to comment
redout22
Nice! It would be great to get him back any time this year. Quote Link to comment
Landlord
And by the way, I'm not tryint to stir up "crap" ... it does get frustrating sometimes with all "tudes" here and the "no it all" folks. I'm just a fan and am here to support my team and love to read about my Huskers. Sometimes other "fans" can be a real drain on that occuring ... talk about "Debbie Downers" ... and I'm a pessimist after many frustrating losses like V-Tech, TT and ISU this year. What exactly do you call it when you start a thread putting people down and putting words in their mouth saying that they claimed his career was over, when nobody made such claims? As far as I can see, you are doing the exact same thing you are calling out. Quote Link to comment

HuskerNMO
I hope he comes back from the injury better than Spano did, Rex has a bright future, I hope he's not coming back too early. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Coach Pelini did say at the presser it could be Colorado or the bowl game. Quote Link to comment

knapplc
Coach Pelini did say at the presser it could be Colorado or the bowl game. I'm fine with either - AS LONG AS HE'S HEALTHY. Reinjuring himself for this season would be a travesty. He just needs to heal fully and come back for some football. If that's next year, so be it. Quote Link to comment
