You can shut up, it doesn't make sense to pull out a guy who's in the flow when you're dominating and you have the ball so close to your own goal line.

Sorry but if we would've given momentum back then got out of rhythm and washington ended up winning this game the change at qb should definitely be questioned. Again I can't think of a time Osborne put in a backup qb in the 2nd quarter up two scores against a D1 team on the road (1st road game of the season too!) Maybe it happened in the 70's before I saw anything....TO didn't win any NT in those years so if he was doing it then it may have been an early lesson.

 

Osborne never did anything like that in the 70's either.

Yeah exactly. I think it was a dumb call. So you agree with the coach and the coach never makes mistakes so suddenly you are NOT a couch coach because you agree with the coach? We have the right to criticize a questionable decision. It's a message board. So don't come in here and yell at us to shut up. You don't like complaining then call your mom during game time.

So what happens on the next play Taylor blows out his knee and is done for the season. Stupid mistake to play your backup for a series every game? Ask Texas about not playing their backup last year.

Why are peopke dumbfounded by the Green decision.

 

T.O. Did it with his teams.. They said they were going to do this all week..

 

Green had a set of 15 plays practiced with the first team. He made a personal mistake and coughed the ball up.

 

I'm impressed that the kid ran with heart and stayed up.

 

If nothing else it's a great teaching moment.

It's not as though we won't need our backups at some point. Some of you couch coaches are so quick to throw people under the bus.

 

When you're a QB, you have to be smart. Trying to carry 11 people on your back is dumb.

This my first look at Martinez. It would be an understatement to say that I'm impressed. The only bad thing is that our QB recruiting may take a hit as the guys coming in are going to see this and then find somewhere where they'll get to play...
