Um...he's having fun. The game didn't go well and sometimes joking about things is the best way to not take them too seriously.

A learning experience for our team and fans.

 

The kids bought into everything being said I think, and did not think this team could play with them. I think Bo knew this was going to be tougher than most expected.

 

It is good we made it though it and we will learn from it is my guess. Thank God it was SDS and not KState tonight.

 

We have time to correct the attitude and the kids will be more prepared for other games down the road after this.

 

Look for the positives, not the negatives. WE won and are 4-0, all goals are in still possible. Keep your heads up.

this was BO's most machiavellian game plan, sandbag before you get to conference play. mack brown tried to do the same thing, but he was too extreme for his team's own good.

Meh. We won.

 

Basically the team didn't show up, offensive line didn't care enough today to block hard at all and the perimeter blocking was just soft. Martinez didn't even look off his primary reciever once. The running backs were running half speed and weren't exactly fighting hard for extra yardage.

 

Niles was just being Niles, fumbles on the Punt, and never once bothered to work off the LOS to get separation.

 

Defense was meh overall. The plan was simply to take away the deep stuff and let them run the ball.. but tackling was solid at least most of the time.

 

For some reason when this team knows they are better than their opponent they just get lazy and that leads to turnovers, penalties and overall lack of focus. At least this year that happened against a team our scout team could beat on a good day, instead of a game against ISU or Kansas State, teams that could actually take advantage of us if we play like that...

 

Something tells me we won't let it happen again. It didn't happen again last season after ISU, it won't happen again after this weak effort tonight. If they players thought that the bye week would be one where they could relax a bit and catch a break... they just gave that opportunity up by taking tonight off.

 

 

I was worried about KSU earlier.. and if we had done what we should have and just rolled these guys tonight 56-0 or something.. KSU could have been a BIG issue. I don't have that worry anymore. This team will come out ready for the Wildcats after what the coaches do to them this week in practice.

Relax. A bit of frustration is felt on many levels in regards to this game. I am sure he is not saying that the sky is falling. Also, lets be real, we did not play up to the level we should have.
