Danny Bateman
Lol at Cotton recruiting only lineman, besides the one QB. I know it's his position and everything, but it's as if the coaches feel the same way as we do... "No, Barney, you just focus on the lineman. Leave the rest to us. You can spend you free time... playing army guys." (Bo gives to Barney) 3 Quote Link to comment

Looks like Barney has the most important part in the overall scheme of things here. 2 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
Cotton is responsible for the largest position group, its a HUGE responsibility. He also just helped put together one of the best Oline classes, on paper, ever. 1 Quote Link to comment

dylan
you are aware that the line comprises almost a quarter of our positional starters and that barney has the most recruits listed in the original post, right? barney more than holds his own in recruiting (though i agree with carlfense that we need to see more of that talent translated to the field). NUance
John GarrisonLB-Michael Rose (committed) WR-Elliot Faerber DT-Vincent Valentine OL-Dan Voltz Vincent Valentine. Is that like the coolest name ever, or what? Seriously, it sounds like a made-up Hollywood name. Or a porn star. I wish my parent had given me a cool name like that. 1 Quote Link to comment
GlobalHusker
I'm Interested to see how the new coaches recruit. I heard good storys about Ek while he was here. I'm interested the kind of pull the new guys can have! Quote Link to comment

Last year he really didn't do much in recruiting - his big pickups (Moore, Reeves, Sterup, Davie) were basically locks from the get-go. His territory normally only encompasses nebraska and iowa, with a few more scattered about - and he's recruited everything from defensive backs to quarterbacks. This is the first year that Barney has really ventured out of state - at least to thsi degree. Now's he's concentrating more on his position and less on the specific region. I wonder if this is a change in recruiting philosophy for Bo in regards to Barney? Maybe now that he has less responsibility on the OL he is expected to do more recruiting? Quote Link to comment

EZ-E
Cotton is responsible for the largest position group, its a HUGE responsibility. He also just helped put together one of the best Oline classes, on paper, ever. Break down our 2011 OL class. We had one legacy recruit that only needed an offer to pull the trigger, two in-state kids which were about the exact same, one from Illinios, and one from Texas. Beck and Sanders had a big part in the last two. Quote Link to comment
