Danimal
IMO best wr-recruit we've had in a long time. Could be the go-to receiver we've needed for so long. We desperately need a playmaker that consistently catches the rock. Link to comment

We desperately need a playmaker that consistently catches the rock. Seems like a reasonable prediction to me. Westerkamp sure had a great HS career and seemingly the sky is the limit. He is another of these guys that we as NU fans should be very happy to have join us. NU really needs a bigger quality WR with hands. We needed this badly. Jordan seems like a great candidate for fulfilling this need for NU. Seems to me that he could play almost immediately --- of course, he might not --- but among this years class he seems as likely as any (save for perhaps the two JC's) to be an immediate contributor. I would guess he gets redshirted but then again I didn't see all of our freshmen running backs playing this year either. Link to comment

He will be able to pick up the playbook easily I think, he is willing to block(which can get you on the field at NU quickly), he's a dynamic WR with seemingly no ego. I expect him to play right away. PaulCrewe
Anyone that wants to know the kind of kid JW is, the kind of player he is, and the process he went through with the ND visit, read this OWH article that ran today. Sam McKewon did a hell of a job and this is a GREAT story. EDIT- The blow holes at the OWH have screwed up the link. It takes you to the story about friggin Creighton BBall. Anyways still recommend the story to whomever finds it. I will keep looking for it. Link to comment

suigeneris
On a side note, Notre Dame missed out on Deontay Greenberry. He's going to Houston. Couldn't help smiling a little when I saw that yesterday. Link to comment

C N Red
Great article. And now I just pray, please God please let Beck find a way to use Jordan and our other great athletes on the outside better and more often. Link to comment
Hoosker
Jordan Westerkamp OWH article. Great article. Outstanding article. I can see this guy being better than Bell was last year. He has the athletic ability, the speed, and most importantly, the smarts. I don't really follow recruiting too often (people tend to get lost in it), but I am really excited about this kid. Husker_Power
@NateClouse: #Nebraska Receivers coach Rich Fisher said true freshman WR Jordan Westerkamp hasn't dropped a pass once this fall camp. #Huskers Link to comment
TonyStalloni
I have a feeling it will be hard to keep him off the field this year. If he understands the routes well enough and can do the required blocking, he will see the field a lot! Link to comment
IllinoisHuskerFan
any news on Jordan? Are they going to redshirt him? Link to comment
RockyMountainOySker
Still nothing official but it does sound like he will redshirt. Link to comment
IllinoisHuskerFan
Kenny Bell, Jordan Westerkamp, Alonzo Moore. Thats a pretty good trio of WRs going into next 2-3 years! Link to comment
