frazier9495
From his Twitter As you may have heard, I am hanging up my shoulder pads... However, if the administration allows it, I can still be your favorite Husker! I will also continue to be with the team this year and the next. You'll see me on the sidelines signaling in plays! https://twitter.com/#!/HuskerQB7 Quote Link to comment
frazier9495
From the World Herald A series of medical issues has forced quarterback Kody Spano to end his Nebraska football career, the program confirmed Tuesday. The junior will go on medical scholarship and finish his undergraduate degree at NU. http://www.omaha.com/article/20110524/BIGRED/705249822#injury-plagued-career-ends-for-spano Quote Link to comment
DJR313
This isn't very surprising. Kody had some bad luck with injuries. Good luck to him in the journey that is life, sounds like a good kid. Quote Link to comment
Apathy
Doesn't suprise me with his problem of staying healthy. Damn both those ACL tears in his left knee that have ruined his football career. Quote Link to comment
Haspula
Tough life, good luck Kody Quote Link to comment

The Dude
Too bad, best of luck to him. Quote Link to comment
NUance
Sucks that he got hit with one injury after another. Didn't really have much of a chance to shine. But I'm glad he got the medical scholie and can finish his degree. Quote Link to comment
Landlord
I follow Kody on Twitter and have talked to him a few times, really a nice guy. The exact kind of kid that embodies the Nebraska program well. Quote Link to comment
OmahaPlaya
Maybe he has a future in coaching? Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
This is not a suprise one bit, some on here even were speculating this months ago. The poor kid could never catch a break. And he probably have ligaments from at least three different people. Both knees is a biatch, but both knees and an arm, motha f%&k.... He is and always was a class act and hit every bump in the road, starting with the screw over job he got from OSU. I easily could see a kid like this turn into coach, heck we already have with Blake Lawrence. He will perservere. Hey, another open scholly though....... Quote Link to comment
mnhusker
I'm glad he will be around, and his experience with the team will be great. Quote Link to comment
Fuzzy
Never had a college start, but still great player, great kid, great Husker. Quote Link to comment
Vuren
Never had a college start, but still great player, great kid, great Husker. hell i don't think he even had a play in a college game, wasn't he injured or rehabbing during every season? also this kid deserved a touchdown. Quote Link to comment
