What does the Big Ten need to know about Nebraska?

Recommended Posts

Nebraska's program and its fan base aren't all that complicated, but IMO, usually gravitate to certain attitudes.

As Husker fans, we aren't arrogant, but we definitely fear no one and we believe our program to be one of the top program's in CFB history. That's something the facts back up and it is respect that we have earned.

Nebraska fans cheer for their foes to do well. If they win, we look better when we beat them. If we lose, we don't look as bad if that team keeps on winning.

In terms of expectations, Nebraskans simply expect to be able to say that we are in the conversation with some of the top teams in the nation. Yes, national titles are great. But, in the end, we just want to be able to say in the preseason and through the course of the year that we are in the national conversation and for those statements to be taken seriously. Through the late Solich era and throughout the Callahan years, we could not say that. I think we are back in the national conversation again.

Nebraska fans know the game, respect the game and our foes and expect the Big Red to do well year in and year out. We are loyal, standing by the squad in great seasons and not so great.

That's about it!
