Cornicator
This kid is going to be special. Does he have the tools to come in and play right away? He has the speed and athleticsm to play instantly. But he will need to put on 20 pounds between now and the Fall in order to not be overmatched by the physicality of the Big 10. I love the kid, but at age 18 in a 6'2 200lb frame, he will be overmatched when men over 21 like Marcus Coker or Montee Ball come around the edge. Quote Link to comment

You know I don't completely buy into the last part here. Debo's biggest problem in high school is his metabolism with playing bball. He loses his weight to play, and then has to make it up before football. IF he comes here and just has football and some sessions with James D., he will be at 220 easily. Debo is the prototypical LB that LSU routiinely brings in and they have no problem bringing down bigger backs. The way I see it, Debo has the POTENTIAL to be Lavonte with more speed. Seriously the upside with this kid POTENTIALLY could be the best NU has seen from a high school recruit is a VERY long time. Quote Link to comment

I stated he would have to put on about 20 pounds to play and make a difference. If he can do that then he can potentially get on the field and play in more than a special teams role. As for you comment referring to LSU linebackers: LSU only has one linebacker under 220 pounds, Tajh Jones, their 3rd string Will Linebacker. Jones has 30 career tackles and 1 start in 3 seasons and this is the first season he's been a major contributor on special teams. Quote Link to comment

teachercd
Not that I agree with the guy who posted that LSU doesnt have small linebackers but information from roster stats is about as accurate as a girl whos says "I have never done that before" or "That was my first time doing that to a guy" Quote Link to comment
