bsbch
**However, one player was a bit more confident in the Huskers' chances of knocking off the Badgers. Asked abotu being the challenge of beating Wisconsin and being viewed as the underdog, quarterback Taylor Martinez said this: "We're are ready to shock the world." Guess you have to admire his confidence.... Then again, I'm not sure #8 beating #7 would be that much of a shock... Quote Link to comment
Popular Post The Dude
That's not a bold statement. This is a bold statement. 12 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
He should be confident. Heck, its only the posters that are freaking out. Those guys have confidence Quote Link to comment
308_Husker
I hope those weren't his exact words. "We're are..." All kidding aside, weren't people talking smack about Carr for saying something like this? I wonder if there is a double standard with some Husker fans. Personally, I love the confidence from both of the athletes. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Sam McKewon via twitter nailed this comment: Remember, though, Taylor tends to say these things almost as an afterthought and without a hint of hype. Taylor is like the anti-Bo when the camera is on him. While Bo measures every word he says, Taylor often speaks off-the-cuff. This is one of those times. If Wisconsin wants to use it as bulletin-board material, whatever. If they need to rally around some statement(s) our players make to get up for this game, that's a problem. Quote Link to comment
NEBRASKANHEAT
I don't think Taylor has ever suffered from a lack of confidence in himself. Quote Link to comment
kyle sibert
Maybe he meant it negatively, as in, "You have no idea how bad a #8 team can lose to a #7 team." Jokes aside, I like the confidence, but there isn't much to be gained by saying this. I don't think the national media is expecting a huge margin of victory, are they? Either way, that small phrase can add a lot of pressure. 1 Quote Link to comment
roundegotrip
An ideal trait in a quarterback, if you ask me. Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
Yep...I like his confidence. He's going to need it Quote Link to comment
B.B. Hemingway
I think some fans are making Wisconsin in to a much better team then they are.... They are a good team, but some posters are saying it would be a "huge" upset if we win. Really? I am nowhere nearly as impressed with them as that. I lik e Taylor nd Yoshi's Quote Link to comment
knapplc
An ideal trait in a quarterback, if you ask me. Agreed. I'm trying to remember a successful quarterback who lacked boldness. Not remembering any. Quote Link to comment
Nhusker23
I like his attitude. Hopefully the whole team feels the same way. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
I'm more concerned with his grammar. "We're are"? Really? Srsly? eyeswear2allthatsholy Quote Link to comment
95huskers
It might be this weeks motto. Hes not the only player I've heard say that... Quote Link to comment
