The good news is we should come out passing...did I really just say that.....Seriously though this all falls on the offense...3 and outs turnovers...21 points is what we should have expected... but to see them disrupt our running game like they have is a disgrace...Bell has dropped passes, Burkhead fumbles inside the 5, enunwa fubles on a great pass play, Kinne lines up wrong, Cotton jumps early, Long jumps, that is a lot of mistakes to overcome....Martinez is throwing spectacular...keep it going.

Seems like a great deal of downer here from those posting... such manic depressives here --- one week wildly up on the team, the next week wildly down..

Relax it is a 1 score game and NU simply needs to survive this one. Northwestern is playing well, is motivated and well coached and playing above themselves. Nu is flat... unfortunately that happens often under Pelini. But we are one score away from putting this behind. So... GBR

Sorry but I'm actually getting tired of these ugly performances. Funny how Bill Snyder can come back and his teams play disciplined most of the time. I don't mind getting beat or out schemed but our team is sloppy AGAIN and it's not getting fixed. The false starts, the fumbles, the blown assignements in the secondary.... I don't mind getting trampled by a good wisconsin team. I am getting tired of these Iowa state performances (a motivated lesser team comes in and makes us look like clowns). I've supported Bo every step of the way but I'm done overlooking these kind of games.

Tim Beck is going to be in for a HARD week if we lose this one. Northwestern isn't doing alot of things special defensively, but they are selling their souls out to the run on the early downs almost daring Beck to go to the air. Rarely has Beck been willing to, but when he has, we have been plenty successful.

Taylor has really been accurate today, so I don't know why we haven't been willing to go more PA on 1st down to take a shot downfield.

Even more, Beck needs to completely scrap the option. It was terrible early in the season, and it's terrible now. Spacing is horrid, and neither the QB or the RB are good at getting their defenders to commit to make the pitch easier. It really needs to be taken COMPLETELY out of our playbook the rest of this season.
