Bank on every Herky you know to say that MIke Stoops will be their next DC Yep...it's already starting on one of their message boards: "I would expect to see Phil Parker promoted but the fact that Mike Stoops hasn't taken a job at Ohio State, Nebraska, or any of the other schools trying to get him makes me wonder. Should be interesting to see how this plays out." "I hope we can get Stoops but I'm prepared to be disappointed by an internal hire." Sound familiar! 1 Quote Link to comment

Forge
how angry will people be if Iowa lands Stoops, and we dont get Zook or Gill? That would be embarassing, to say the least. 1 Quote Link to comment

ladyhawke
This was an interesting blog entry by Berry Tramel who is a sports writer for The Oklahoman: http://blog.newsok.com/berrytramel/2011/12/11/ou-football-could-mike-stoops-be-waiting-on-brent-venables/ If Brent Venables leaves OU for an HC job somewhere else then more than likely Mike Stoops will go back to OU and coach with his brother. Makes sense. I hope it doesn't happen but from what I've read from da skers it doesn't look like Mike is coming here. Blah! Quote Link to comment

Bank on every Herky you know to say that MIke Stoops will be their next DC About time that guy retired, good lord it seems as though he has been there since they started the football program. He came with Ferentz in 1999 so I guess you could say he has been there since their program started (minus the handful of good teams under Fry in the 80’s). Quote Link to comment
