VA Husker Fan
Holy B1G/SEC lunch kickoffs on the 2nd. What the hell is the BELK BOWL???? Belk, either sometimes or formerly known as Hudson Belk, is a southeast department store chain, probably on par with Dillards (I'm not much of a shopper so excuse me if that's off). It's the old Continental Tire, then Meineke Bowl in Charlotte. Quote Link to comment
VA Husker Fan
Love how Herbstreit declared outrage about VT getting in the Sugar Bowl over KSU, Baylor and Boise State, asking if it had come down to fan support these days. News flash: it's always been that way. Money talks. Why does he think all of these games have corporate sponsors obscuring the traditional bowl name? Quote Link to comment

mrandyk
ACC gets an at large??? Hate to say it but K-State might have gotten screwed.... Was the Big 12 really that bad this year?? Can't say I paid any attention. Nah its just because the ACC is clearly the better conference. Incidentally, the ACC just signed large television contract with ESPN. Quote Link to comment
roadrat
9 of our opponents are going to bowl games this year. I don't think that happens very often. Quote Link to comment
NoKoolAidForME
Looks like Jan 2nd is going to be a vacation day. Yeah I hear you. My company has a weeks shutdown after Christmas but I will have to extend it to a week and a day. Quote Link to comment

Because that's the sound I make when watching Shawn Watson's offense. Quote Link to comment
krill
I love Frank Beamer, but even he has to know VT playing in a BCS game this year is a joke among jokes. They played FCS , Sun Belt, MAC, and C-USA opponents for their non-conference schedule and didn't beat a single team that finished ranked in the BCS. Michigan is getting quite a gift not having to play Boise or Baylor. Quote Link to comment
CFHusker
How does Michigan get a BCS game over Michigan St? This all seems dumb to me. Money is all that matters. Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
I submit to you Oklahoma is the 2010 Nebraska Quote Link to comment

The same reason Nebraska wouldve been in the BCS if it had beat Michigan. Money and fan support. Probably samething VTech got in over KState. Quote Link to comment
mrandyk
I submit to you Oklahoma is the 2010 Nebraska Baylor got the same treatment this year. They both have to play crappy 7-5 teams. Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
What happened to bowl games on New Year's Day? Do they not do that anymore? Quote Link to comment

It's all about losses and when they occur. We had this discussion before the Michigan game that the winner of that game had a chance to go a BCS bowl because they would jump the loser of the B1G CCG, and that's exactly how it played out.
