Remaining targets/options... Just food for thought. Info is not 100 % accurate, don't kill the messenger ATH 4* Devin Fuller (NU, Rutgers, TCU, others) 3* Alonzo Moore (Miss St, NU) 2* Marques Mosley (Colorado, NU) N/R LeRoy Alexander (NU, Toledo soft commit, ?) RB 3* Imani Cross (Kentycky, NU, Virginia) TE 3* Nate Iese (possible DE) (Cal, NU, Oregon St., UCLA) 3* Orlando David (Cincinnati, Illinois, Louisville, NU, Rutgers) 2* Keoni Bush-Loo (Multiple offers, visits NU soon) OL 5* Andrus Peat (FSU, NU, Stanford, USC) 4* Evan Goodman (Arizona St. soft commit, Arkansas, NU) Listed us in top three but all signs point elsewere 2* Mike Shoff (No offer from NU yet, may give one if other targets look elsewhere) DT 3* Vincent Valentine (Florida, Illinois, NU) 3* Aaron Curry (Iowa, Nebraska) ILB 3* Joe Robinson (Arizona, ASU, Colorado, NU, Washington) CB 4* A.J Leggett (FSU, Marshall, NU) 4* Devian Shelton (NU, Oregon St., Tennessee) 4* Brandon Beaver (NU, OU, Utah, Washington) 4* Raymond Ford (NU, Utah) 3* Anthony Standifer (Boise St, Illinois, Notre Dame, Syracuse, no NU offer yet) S 4* Corey Thompson (Texas A&M soft commit, NU, OU, OK St) 3* Sebastian Smith (NU) 2* Mark Meyers (Mich St, NU, Toledo soft commit) Quote Link to comment
MLB 51
Would we take Goodman if Peat comits? Quote Link to comment
G0B1GRED
I really hope we can get most of those DB's, especially Shelton, he is a stud. Valentine would be pretty huge too (he is huge). Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
Would we take Goodman if Peat comits? Goodman is about as likely as the Cubs taking the Ship this year. No need lull that scenario too hard. Quote Link to comment
HuskerFowler
Possibly taking ford and devian as cbs and moving leggett to saftey, would be a heck of a last minute db class Quote Link to comment
FLU
I'll be surprised if we get more than 14 commits in this class. Quote Link to comment

RB 3* Imani Cross (Kentycky, NU, Virginia) TE 3* Nate Iese (possible DE) (Cal, NU, Oregon St., UCLA) 3* Orlando David (Not likely NU, outside chance) 2* Keoni Bush-Loo (Multiple offers, visits NU soon) OL 5* Andrus Peat (FSU, NU, Stanford, USC) 4* Evan Goodman (Arizona St. soft commit, Arkansas, NU) 2* Mike Shoff (No offer from NU yet, may give one if other targets look elsewhere) DT 3* Vincent Valentine (Florida, Illinois, NU) 3* Aaron Curry (Iowa, Nebraska) ILB 3* Joe Robinson (Arizona, ASU, Colorado, NU, Washington) CB 4* A.J Leggett (FSU, Marshall, NU) 4* Devian Shelton (NU, Oregon St., Tennessee) 4* Brandon Beaver (Pac 12 schools, NU) 4* Raymond Ford (NU, Utah) 3* Anthony Standifer (NU) S 3* Sebastian Smith (NU) 2* Mark Meyers (Mich St, NU, Toledo soft commit) I highlighted 11 guys who I predict will be in if allowed. Maybe we are surprised and Fuller commits too, but I'm not as hopeful as I once was. So if Fuller commits, that's 12. With the 11 guys we already have committed, that would put us at 23. I am interested in 2 things: 1) How many guys we are REALLY taking in this class 2) Who gets bumped out depending on the number I'll go ahead and predict who would get bumped out first and go to 5, since 5 getting bumped would put us at 18. 1) Shoff - hopefully we can get him as a walk-on. 2) Standifer - late visit - I would assume that he only is allowed to commit if we have a spot open 3) Curry - the staff wants VV more 4) Smith - If all of those CB's commit, Leggett may get moved to S 5) Ford - If the staff is forced to choose, I think Ford is likely to be tossed out of the mix. It's a shame because with some added weight, he could be really good. Quote Link to comment

Leggett committed to Marshall today, so he's out. as for the rest, I see Peat, Fuller (hopefully), Valentine, Shelton, Ford, Smith, and Bush-Loo committing. if Fuller does not (and it's pretty much 50/50 to me right now on whether or not he will pick Nebraska), we should almost certainly take Alonzo Moore. if Valentine doesn't commit, we should take Curry (though I could see us taking both, if Curry commits first and Valentine wants in). Standifer should be the back-up plan for Ford or Shelton...at the moment, I'd say we'll get Bush-Loo, but if he does not commit, I think we won't take a TE, and give a scholarship to one of the guys on the outside looking in (Standifer, Cross, Shoff, Curry, Moore)...I'd like to have all of them, though, but I just don't see us taking more than 18, MAYBE 19 in this class. PaulCrewe
The staff will take Alonzo Moore in a hearbeat regardless of what Fuller decides. Quote Link to comment

Muck
It's been really interesting to watch Nebraska recruiting this past year. There is almost a complete lack of commonality with the kids being targeted by Ohio State. Typically the same names pop up in regards to the other regional powers TSUN, Notre Dame, Penn State and even the slightly less 'name' schools Wisconsin, Sparty etc but it is almost as if Nebraska is recruiting in a completely different world than everyone else in the B1G. To some extent that really is accurate given Nebraska has traditionally been more oriented towards the areas to it's south & west but it is still interesting to see. Quote Link to comment

Muck
Expect more of a Husker recruiting footprint in the region in the future...................... Of course. As the ties to the conference grow stronger alignments will shift. It's still something I've found fascinating to see. Even before they joined the league despite being more focused on the mid-Atlantic Penn State was still far more in line with ND, TSUN & Ohio State in who they looked at (they are of course also much closer to the center of mass for recruits in the B1G). So far Nebraska doesn't seem to have much contact with even the no brainers in the class of 2013 from Ohio (Jalin Marshall, Cam Burrows, Malik Zaire etc). Quote Link to comment

Pelini recruiting strategy memo stolen from a coaches only meeting: ------------------------------------------- To anybody recruiting Ohio: If they're not from Youngstown they don't exist. That is all ------------------------------------------- FWIW, This memo may have also come from a meeting about replacing assistant coaches.... Quote Link to comment
