Chalk another one up to John Garrison That's awesome. Kind of crazy how quickly these things happen. Link to comment
RockyMountainOySker
Great news about the commitment! Very happy to have him on board. To the guys talking about Whitaker at tackle, he's actually being recruited for the interior line. Link to comment
'SkerNation
Lack of offers aside, very nice pick up. Dude dominates throughout his highlight film. Welcome aboard!! Link to comment
Nexus
Excellent! Welcome to Husker Nation, Mr. Whitaker! Nebraska continues to add commitments after a strong visit weekend. The Huskers picked up a commitment from Corey Whitaker, a two-star lineman from California. “There’s a lot of great opportunities for offensive lineman at Nebraska,” he said. “I just felt like when I got there the coaches were great to me. I went in there not knowing if I’d get a scholarship, but they quickly offered. They told me I could be a guy that could help make Nebraska a better team. I just loved the school, facilities and everyone there was pretty great.” Continue Reading Link to comment

zoogs
Sounds like the staff is doing some good work. Despite it not looking like such. As usual, rapid finish. Link to comment
corncraze
How many O-lineman are we planning to take? Probably one more, and I assume that's Peat. Link to comment
corncraze
Apparently Oregon didn't have the engineering program he was looking for either. Nebraska ACADEMICS actually wins a recruit over! Link to comment

Must have been our afternoon engineering labs. Corey is a great get. The "whirlwind" finish is upon us. Link to comment

That's good news, I was afraid Whitaker's offer had something to do with Peat. Goodman is a long shot anyway, but you'd have to assume the staff would find a spot for him if he wanted in. TonyStalloni
This young man is a great find for our coaching staff. I watched his film and haven't seen this many pancakes since the last all city pancake feed. I love how he leads the running backs 50 yards down the field and on some plays took out more than one player. About the 4 minute mark he pushed the DE way outside the play allowing the running back a huge hole, then lead him down the field and destroyed a LB. A great motor! Welcome to the Land of the Pipeline Corey! 1 Link to comment

Losit one of the walk ons who wasn't ever on the list but had given the coaches a verbal. Link to comment

If not, we are done after Peat. Link to comment
RockyMountainOySker
One other thing to note, OL is about as tough to predict as possible outside of the top guys in each class. Many, MANY two and three star OL turn out great. Perfect example of a program doing this consistently is Wisconsin. We should all be happy about this kid. Link to comment
